[VIDEOS/PICTURES] Salman Ali Agha - Will he succeed at the international level?

Salman Agha shown his class as a T20 batter in this PSL, he has proved that he could be a reliable finisher in this format for the national team.

Salman Ali Agha gone after making 33(30) against KK for IU. Not a great performance from a no.3

Not comparing or anything but some of the shots he plays reminds me of VVS. He has a very similar stance and very wristy too.

His batting style doesn't suit him to play so far down the order. I think he is a perfect number 3 batter for Islamabad United.

Salman Ali Agha played a classy knock of 47(23) today against GIC in the ongoing Ghani Ramadan cricket tournament.

He is a good player but I don't know why he never gains confidence who can win u game from a tough situation. With his inclusion team always looks so fragile, specially in t20 cricket.

A brilliant knock by Salman Ali Agha 101*(56) helped SBP today in overcoming the challenge of WAPDA.

Hope he gets a chance in the T20 WC. I think he's better than Ifti who has a SR of about 91 in T20I's in 2024

He should have been given a chance in the T20 format.

Salman ali agha has been named in the Pakistan squad for the upcoming series against Ireland and England. Good choice to include him IMO. He deserved a spot.

Real question is, what number is he going to play at. I think he might replace Iftikhar.

*Salman Ali Agha joins Kandy!

Pakistan allrounder Salman Ali Agha is up for auction at US$ 10,000. Kandy secure the signing with their opening bid in LPL 2024.

Salman Agha got a golden duck in a LPL match while playing against the Colombo Strikers. Shadab took his wicket!

Salman Ali Agha is the only player in the current playing 11 against Bangladesh in the 1st test match who has bowled some overs and now he is playing as a specialist spinner as Pakistan opted not to select Abrar for this game.

He has bowled 2 overs only but he is getting some spin out of that Pindi pitch.

Missed huge opportunity to score big yesterday.

No longer going to watch this match, it's a draw.

Pindi is a crap pitch to host a test

Salman is exposing Khurram too much. I think he needs to take strike more here.

He’s playing the inning of his lifetime here. This is resilient batting at its best.

Salman Ali Agha departs after scoring 54(95) in 2nd Test against Bangladesh

This is his 7th in Tests, will be fair to call him clutch player for Pakistan in Tests?

He is a clutch player whose only misfortune is that he plays for a rubbish team like Pakistan.

He’s the definition of clutch.
The Lance Klusner of test cricket in modern era.
He’s well on his way in becoming the next Ben Stokes.

If Pakistan wins this test match, his knock will be remembered for ages.

A youngster that will go too far.

Salman Ali Agha (2/13) steals the show in the third session, claiming the final two wickets of the visitors, including the key wicket of Litton Das (138), to put the hosts in a dominant position. He was literally throwing ripper balls

Pathetic captaincy by Shan. Overbowled Abrar and under bowled Agha

Salman Ali Agha showed resilient batting, displaying absolute grit and selflessness as he brought up his fifty off 70 balls against the Stallions in the Champions One-Day Cup 2024.

Scoring 51 off 72 with the bat, he is now shining with the ball, proving himself to be a handy off-spinner, having taken 3 wickets for 21 runs in 8 overs so far against Markhors.

Salman Ali Agha, during an interaction with the media at Multan Cricket Stadium:

"I have an idea of how tough they [England Cricket Team] are and what tough challenges they will give us. And we are preparing for it and will try to produce a better result than the previous year."

"The weather conditions were much hotter in the Champions One-Day Cup 2024 and the series against Bangladesh. And it will be a plus point for us, as we are used to Pakistan's weather conditions, and I think they are coming here from cold weather."

"I don't think it will make much difference for Babar Azam, because if you see his batting record as captain, it has been excellent, and it is his personal decision, and we have to respect it. I wish him all the best, and hopefully, he will put on a good performance in this series against England."

"When I do batting, I consider myself a batter, and when I do bowling, I consider myself a bowler. So, both roles are important for me. There is always pressure on an international team, and as professionals, we have to handle it."

"We can't predict anything about the pitch; we still have time for it, but we have a plan, and we will follow it."

"We are aware of the kind of cricket they [England] play - [BazBall] - and we have prepared our own plans and will try to tackle them as per their style of game."

"My best wishes go to Pakistan's women's cricket team for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, and I hope they will put on their best performance."

Salman has already exceeded Asad Shafiq in terms of impactful runs. After a very long time, Pakistan has found a clutch player who plays incredibly well with the tail. I was tempted to bat him higher up the order but now I have doubts. The guy is doing phenomenally well with the tail so why change it? Pakistan has historically struggled from 6-11 and our tail has been wrapped up fairly quickly in previous years. With Salman's introduction, our lower order is now consistently adding vital runs. I wouldn't want Salman to go the route of Asad Shafiq where he gets moved up the order and then struggles to score. Pakistan would lose on Salman's runs as well as runs from 6-11. Double whammy. Let him do his stuff at number 7. He's been perfect.

Highest batting average when batting at #7 and #8 (combined) in Test Cricket for Pakistan.
Minimum: 600 runs

Pakistan's best player of the 2023 - 2025 WTC.

If other players get cakes for performing after one match,

Then Agha Salman Ali needs to be rewarded with his own cake shop business once the 23-25 WTC finishes

Man of the match of this game surely. He just needs to get a wicket or 2 as well. Would be good for his confidence.

I saw his interview with the sky team.. brace yourselves guys.. it’s not the greatest but he can communicate in English! Test captaincy on the horizon?
