Defending 150 against New Zeland in the ICC T20 World Cup, this guy stepped up and produced a brilliant spell of 4 overs, 4 for 19.

Should be given man of the match for this brilliant spell. Changed the whole game by taking wickets at right time.
 
Alzarri Joseph claimed his 100th Test wicket by dismissing Ben Stokes in the 3rd Test against England.

He is the 24th West Indian bowler to take 100 Test wickets.

West Indies fast bowler Alzarri Joseph's behaviour during the series-clinching third ODI win over England was "unacceptable", according to head coach Daren Sammy.

In unprecedented scenes, Alzarri claimed the wicket of Jordan Cox (1) in the fourth over of the match but did not celebrate with his team-mates and swiftly left the field of play at the end of his over, seemingly sulking over the field he had been set by captain Shai Hope - his team briefly down to 10 players.

When asked if they had since made up, Hope replied "no comment" at the post-match presentation, while Sammy later said he would be having words with his bowler.

"Behaviour like that is unacceptable on my cricket field," Sammy told talkSPORT. "We will be friends… but in the culture I'm trying to build, that's unacceptable.

"We will definitely have a chat about that."

Joseph returned to the pitch for the beginning of the sixth over, by which point Romario Shepherd had replaced him in the attack and swiftly removed Jacob Bethell (0) with his first ball, later adding the scalp of England skipper, and centurion from the second ODI, Liam Livingstone (6).

Alzarri eventually resumed his spell in the 12th over, bowling two more overs before leaving the field again after two misfields off his bowling, though this time a sub fielder was there to take his place.

He would eventually finish with match figures of 2-45 from his 10 overs, adding the wicket of Dan Mousley (57) late on, while he also applied the finishing touches to a terrific relay catch with Brandon King that dismissed England top-scorer Phil Salt (74) but still failed to prompt a smile.

"I pride myself on having the difficult conversations," Sammy added. "But in a way that everybody understands what is needed to be done."

Sky Sports' Mark Butcher said of Alzarri's outburst: "I'm sure there will be repercussions for Joseph.

"Use any anger against the opposition, don't go walking off the field, hurting your own team. Protect your captain, for better or for worse.

"And, for what it's worth, I thought Hope was absolutely right with the field that was set."

Former West Indies captain Jason Holder said "it's not what you want to see" when reacting to the incident as part of TNT Sports' coverage of the game, while Sir Alastair Cook added: "I have never seen a reaction like that.

"I've never seen Alzarri have any reaction whatsoever. Never talk, never celebrate, never open his mouth. He just runs in and bowls jaffas - but I quite liked it, as it shows he cares."

Absolutely disgraceful behavior. I hope he is stripped of the vice-captaincy and punished severely for this. This is no way for a professional cricketer to behave. Alzarri Jospeh needs to grow up instead of acting like a little baby. He did this not once, but twice last night.

he looks like another version of Andre Nell.. always remains on angry mode!
 
Whenever Alzarri is bowling he looks like he was slapped in the face about fifty times before he came out to have a bowl. His face is always painted with this scowl. Like Shakib, he probably needs to see a therapist. All this repressed anger and rage is not good for you.

Cricket West Indies (CWI) has imposed a two-match suspension on fast bowler Alzarri Joseph following an on-field incident during the 3rd CG United ODI at the Kensington Oval, Barbados. As part of CWI’s ongoing commitment to upholding the highest levels of professionalism and integrity in the game, the incident, which involved conduct falling short of CWI’s standards of professionalism, was reviewed in consultation with the Senior Men's coaching staff.

Miles Bascombe, CWI Director of Cricket, addressed the decision, stating:

Alzarri's behavior did not align with the core values that Cricket West Indies upholds. Such conduct cannot be overlooked, and we have taken decisive action to ensure the gravity of the situation is fully acknowledged."

Joseph also issued a public apology, acknowledging the incident and expressing regret.

I recognize that my passion got the best of me. I have personally apologized to Captain Shai Hope and my teammates and management. I also extend my sincerest apologies to the West Indies fans—I understand that even a brief lapse in judgment can have a far-reaching impact, and I deeply regret any disappointment caused.

Cricket West Indies remains committed to fostering a culture of respect, integrity, and discipline both on and off the field.

Alzarri Joseph fined for breaching ICC Code of Conduct

West Indies bowler Alzarri Joseph has been fined 25 per cent of his match fee for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during the first ODI match against Bangladesh in St. Kitts and Nevis.

Joseph was found to have breached Article 2.3 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “the use of an audible obscenity.”

In addition to this, one demerit point has been added to Joseph’s disciplinary record, for whom it was the first offence in a 24-month period.

The incident occurred before play when he used offensive and abusive language in an exchange with the fourth umpire, after the umpire had asked Joseph to refrain from stepping onto the pitch with his spikes on.

Joseph admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by Jeff Crowe of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, so there was no need for a formal hearing.

On-field umpires Kumar Dharmasena and Leslie Reifer, third umpire Asif Yaqoob and fourth umpire Gregory Brathwaite levelled the charge.

Level 1 breaches carry a minimum penalty of an official reprimand, a maximum penalty of 50 per cent of a player’s match fee, and one or two demerit points.
