My only issue is that sometimes he can be a little wayward. While Haris Rauf is quite accurate with his bowling, Irshad can bowl some inaccurate balls.

Na, these bowlers like Salman or Zaman shouldn't be compared to Malinga because Maling's head used to be still.

His yorkers were accurate because his head was still and was always looking when delivering the ball.

The likes of Zaman and Salman throw their head away and just catapult the balll hoping that it pitches where they want. Salman throws alot of full tosses. Today he got wickets, but international level he wont survive.

Alot of times players leave his full tosses, but in international the guy would easily get smacked.

Yes the slingly action might be like Malinga, but Malinga was a dead accurate bowler which made his yorkers a treat to watch

I had never paid much attention to Irshad`s bowling before, but that was a flawless display of perfect yorkers. Hugely impressive and amazingly accurate. As someone who was supporting Islamabad, he suddenly created so much of fear that the only thought going through my mind at that stage was that they should rather show him respect, see him off, and instead target the other bowlers to reach the target. He looked so unplayable tonight. Had it not been for the distribution of gifts by Wahab, his excellent bowling had pretty much won them the match. Amongst the best passages of the tournament. It
also goes to show that yorkers are still the most lethal weapon that bowlers can posses, if only they know how to bowl them, though. Well done, Salman Irshad!

He has definitely worked on his fitness. His physique clearly looks much stronger than before.

Wahab Riaz was hitting the same speeds, even slightly slower, if speed guns were defective he’d have diff numbers as well.

Fast bowlers are said to hit their peak between 28-32 (Wahab too became genuinely fast from fast-medium during that period), perhaps Salman (27) is entering that zone as well.
