Wow what a start in getting MIsbah out first ball.

Slingy action almost like Lasith Malinga.

Technically probably regarded by coaches as all over the place

However puts everything into every ball.

The speed gun as usual wasn't working at the PSL but the final bowl of his first over was clocked at 141.2 kph

The guy is unorthodox and fairly sharp.

Speeds in 2nd over:

140.2kph
141.7kph
140.9kph
142.9kph
140.1kph
120.9kph (slower ball)

A decent start. A type of bowler that could destroy batting line ups in the future or go for 10 an over.

Surely a good talent. Brings something unique but needs to play 1 complete season and harness his skills

Doesn't look special to me. Shaheen looked way better, despite being expensive.

Is he from the talent hunt camp they conducted? Like is this his first ever competitive game?

Nothing spectacular, decent prospect

Action is all over the place and body falls

Can we worked with but he won't be breaking Shoaib's record anytime soon

I dont know what you guys look in Shaheen.

Irshad was raw, his action seems pressurizing his body. But he had that nip and pace of hasan ali.

Shaheen will be a typical new ball bowler. The kid is quality. Even on these flat pitches he was making the ball talk. But he has a lot to learn. This guy though looks more like Hasan Ali.

Needs to work with some proper coaches to address some of the technical problems, but he has potential.

Action needs work. Starts off as a front on bowler and looks kind of like Abdul Razzaq in his jump. Then suddenly goes side on and slingy to deliver the ball. Doesn't get anything from his run up.

If someone who knows what he is doing works with him on his action he may very well clock 150 kph.

Action seemed a bit awkward. It needs to be smooth, but if he can bowl with 150+ with that, then let's work with that. It act as a catapulat effect, as he launched his arm/wrist into the action. Reminds me of Shaun Tait.

Sadly for him he is saddled with the worst possible coach

He needs some time with Waqar or Azhar

Getting Misbah ul Haq's wicket or bowling dot balls at him is no big feat. Needs to pass sterner tests.

lol @ speed in 130s, and he is being hailed as next shoaib akhtar. Somebody should learn from us how to blow 5h1t out of proportions.

These are our standards now days. Wasim and Waqar towards the fag end of their careers were hitting 136-140 km/hr when they were regarded as finished and here everyone has their knickers in a twist seeing that this guy can touch 140 km/hr at best

Supposedly has a proper coach now at LQ! But yes, PCB needs to develop him separate from the franchises

He’s a lovely bowler. Tall strong slingy, has a short run up and a very quick arm. I hope no coach tinkers too much with an unorthodox action sometimes it’s a blessing but slingers are generally more wayward. Let’s see how he goes. 140 kph is fast enough on these slow wickets as long as he can bowl a heavy ball.

Send him to the NCA - they'll make sure he's bowling at 130kph in no time.

Very Short run up Amazed that he can produce such speed with such a short run up.
They should have given him Super over.

Good express pace prospect. With longer run up and delayed delivery (after proper landing) he will evolute into another Wahab Riaz like pace man who can maintain themselves in 88-92 mph zone upon will and break into 150's easily if fit. Tall, strong and looks aggressive as well. Him, Shaheen are two good prospects. They can provide back up to Amir, Hasan, Faheem (4th seaming allrounder).

This guy is a better prospect than vulnerable and mediocre trundlers like Raees.

Has the talent but many technical faults in his action that needs to be corrected before considering for next level. Needs a good FC season to justify.

Super over should been given to Sohail Khan.

Imo Narine was best option, but if they wanted to go for pacer it should have been Salman bcz he is fast and can bowl yorkers, SK was a good option also but he is mainly reliant on slow bowlers and he can go for plenty considering 50 meter boundaries of Sharjah

He is still quite raw.

Hopefully with the right coaches he will be better by the next psl.

Some nice encouraging comments.

Some denigratory comments in this thread by so-called knowledgeable fans...when the guy bowled 2 overs in a T20. No wonder why we’ve previously had players and captains like I’ve had dinners...total lack of patience as a nation!

143.8 kph the quickest so far today.

He is not getting enough momentum into his deliveries from his run-up. His action needs work on his action from good coaches. He really does have the potential to bowl 150 kph.

144 kph is actually pretty quick for someone with such little hardball experience .
150 kph is very realistic . Seen the likes of riaz and irfan put on over 15-20 kph over the years once the body gets used to the cricket bowl and the rigours of bowling.

Exactly, I can’t think of a single player who has improved from time spent at the NCA. Seems our players improve despite the system not because of it.

His round arm action is certainly going to make him wayward but if he can bowl a fuller length on the stumps consistently with a change of pace then I think he’ll be a real handful in death overs in limited overs. For now he’s exactly at the level he needs to be. Key point to remember is that the stand out pace bowlers In psl 3 are wahab, Sami and rahat which says something of the low standard.

He's too raw imo

Definently needs 1/2 yrs in first class cricket of bowling regularly and a decent bowling coach to sort him out maybe azhar Mahmood or wasim or shoaib Can work on his action he does have a good height physique for a fast bowler needs polishing up

He is definitely raw and certainly needs more time to polish up. But his action is so unique that probably best keep him away from coaches that want to change too much. Just would like to see him use his height a little more but I’m sure he has some very good coaches around him that he trusts and who know his game better than the names you mention.

He’s played a fair share of hard ball cricket, Harris Rauf is the guy who only picked up a hard ball a couple of months ago. He’s also quicker than Irshad.

Where is he? Why isnt he playing first class? I dont know if he has even played a match after the PSL.

Surely would have been handy for any first class team qae with his pace.

Has an action which makes bowling consistency in the right areas very difficult. Lets see if he kicks on because bowling 90mph rubbish leads to the ball disappearing more quickly.

Best fast-bowler in the 2nd XI Quaid-e-Azam Trophy so far.

Takes 2 wickets giving away only 13 runs in 3 overs while playing for Northern in the final match of National T20 Cup 2nd XI

One of the few players from Azad Kashmir, also played for the short lived AJK Jaguars back in the day.

How can they replace a player who is only gonna miss 2-3 games, what's the use of supplementary players?

Golden opportunity for Salman Irshad once again.

His Yorkers are hard to play because of the slinging action of his.

Hope he makes best of this opportunity.

Thats a fair point. What's stopping teams declaring players 'injured' mid way through a tournament and picking replacement players from wherever they want. Makes a mockery of the draft process.

Maza hi a gaya, madhe Kashmiri veer ney boun achi bowling kitti si😃

His figures don't indicate how he bowled..doesn't seem to be too confident in his own abilities

He need to learn slower ball? and he also need to work on his lone, he bowled too many wide on the off and leg aide. keepnit wicket to wicket and he is good.

You are correct. He has tendency to loose his radar and showed that even when he debuted in PSL couple of years ago. However, with any young pacer or batsman I always like to give bit of leverage of nerves and also lack of experience at this level.

He does have a slower ball but not much control just like his normal stock delivery. His pace was decent but he has the ability to go higher, maybe was trying to maintain some sort of accuracy.

Decent action which helps with reverse swing and if he can get it right he yorkers wont be easy to pick.

Mediocre and average at best, with this kind of action he should be generating 140k but he is not. Has no control to add salt to it . Not international quality

Sohail Akhtar made a mistake by bowling him im powerplay with new ball in last match. he should be bowling after ten overs to get some reverse.

Good point, he definitely looks better with the older ball.
