[VIDEOS] Sunil Narine - The batter

When you have nothing to lose mindset and bit of hitting prowess you can do things like thiss. It shows how much the mindset is important as a batsman. A specialist batsman generally won't be this much of a risk taker.

He also knows. He's there in the team primarily as a bowler.

Because he's still chucking? Just because he hasn't been banned doesn't mean he isn't chucking. It is interesting though how you completely bury people like Ajmal and Murali. But got no problem with someone like Narine
If he is still chucking he would get reported again. There is no reason for umpires to not report him again.

There's a reason why he's retired from International Cricket.

Guy was reported a few times in international cricket and had to miss 2 world cups before undergoing remodeling.

IPL is a lot less stringent than in reporting of these actions than international Cricket.

His action maybe legitimate but when under the pump or in pressure situations. He may revert back to his original chucking action. That's what happened with him in international Cricket. Similar thing also used to happen with Hafeez.

Not sure if I agree with that.

Several bowlers have been reported for suspect action while playing in the IPL. Interestingly enough, Narine himself was reported for suspect action whilst playing in the IPL in 2020.

There is no evidence that it is easier to get away with chucking in IPL and even if it is, it clearly does not apply to Narine because, as mentioned above, he was reported in IPL in 2020.

He is one of many WI players who have given preference to franchise cricket over international cricket.

There is no reason to associate his international retirement with his bowling action especially because it is based on conjecture and not any evidence.

This theory would have had legs and I would have bought it if there wasn’t a significant list of bowlers getting reported in the IPL including Narine himself.

The West Indies need him, why is he retired. Some are suggesting he is afraid of international umpires. I don’t know how many times he has cleaned his action or what it’s like now though.

This guy is giving a bad name to batting.

There's a play/miss every 3rd ball. Him scoring tons of runs indicates poor bowling more than anything else.

If he had shown such performance while playing for the West Indies, he would have become the Prime Minister of his country.

Not poor bowling dude. Phil salt and all the other batsmen face the same bowler. No international batsmen could do what he does. Only very few could hit like that. You cannot hit a 145k short ball for six without having some level of hitting skill. He connects every length you bowl to him Yorker, short ball, wide yorker, slow ball from all kind of bowlers.

This guy would have won his team the World Cup had he chosen to come out of retirement. He is in some form, this IPL. Smashed almost every bowler who bowled against him. Windies will be feeling very unlucky that they are not having the services of this player.

Let's put it this way, he's timing and hitting it the best to the bowling machine.

His bowling will be called out 5th time. If a guy is suspended 4 itimes for chucking he will be called out 5th tiime. League crickets allow him to do that. That is why he is exclusively playing leagues. There is a good chance if he is banned by internationals his league cricket will be impacted.
