Looks like Shadab. He has good action and looks like the ball is coming into the right handers. It's a shame we won't see him until the QFs.

For anyone worried about his height.

Looks around 6, 6'1. Haider Ali (2nd from the left) is 6ft. Irfan Niazi (7th from the right) surprisingly looks the tallest alongside Abbas Afridi (4th from left).

He's definetly 6+

You can;t assess him with a short video clip against a minnow but whatever I could see, he looked very promising , good action and has good height too. Hope he won't end up like another very similar bowler from Vehari , Zia-ul-Haq, who also looked very promising in 2014 under 19 WC.

He looks decent. The action is a little inconsistent with some balls going through and others not really coming out of his hand. Like with all young left armers it will be the position of the seam that will ultimately decide his future success or failure.

The ball only goes one way so far.

He's young, needs to learn to move the ball both ways.

Looks quicker than the others. With a bit of muscle and some work on the runup he can probably be even quicker.

Saleem Jaffar was saying during the squad annoucement that he is around 140kph bowler but people are estimating the speed on their own through these videos

Remember people saying Naseem Shah is at most 135kph -140kph bowler during national T20 tournament :asif

Nice and quick action, tall bowler good prospect.. Keep them coming Pakistan cricket lack these type of bowlers nowadays.

With further training and hardwork can be a good prospect has enough to work with

We have now age experts, height experts and pace experts on PP. :smith

I got to say that Singh, the Ind left armer looks a hell of a prospect. He is quick, looks quick and has a great seam. Watching him today reminded me of a young Amir. I hope Tahir turns out to be equally good.

Tyagi is something special, Singh is not of that class, not at all a young Amir, but definitely a good prospect.

His 3 wickets against Zimbabwe:

I think the raw ingredients are there. Nice action. Good build. Good pace. Amazed that people are expecting a 17 year old to move it both ways!! Given time, he may be able to do this and add more pace. The key is proper coaching, hard work and a bit of luck.

Nice bowling by Tahir towards the end 1/27 in 9 overs very economical

Unlike Amir Khan, Tahir has the basics. Good run up, nice flowing action and wide range of variations in the death overs.

Action similar to M. Irfan and has that Asif esque about him in terms of body frame and when releasing the ball.

Interesting prospect - curious to see where he ends up in latter stages of his career.

Is he with any PSL club? With his variations; he definitely should be.

Amir not bowled much in practice due to a niggle in the hammy, surprised he played

He isnt with a PSL franchise but hopefully will be associated with one of the domestic regional teams soon.

We have quite a few young tear away bowlers however good bowling attacks require good combinations and Tahir Hussain is definitely a good one to have in the mix going forward considering the control he has at this age.

He just needs to work hard and keep on improving.

How did he bowl? Abdullah719

I think he bowled pretty well, got some praise from the likes of Andy Flower. He has a nice run-up and action, much more polished than Amir Khan who is all over the place. Decent control too and variations.

Just above average and nothing special I would say, Amir Khan probably much raw than him but atleast he's got some good potential and pace.

Pity the speeds were not shown today!

Yes, but Tahir looked sharp, at least in 135-140 range and that with his height and control , makes him a great potential.

SA or ICC, did not take this WC too seriously, not all matches being telecast, poor umpiring, no reviews and no speed gun on all matches.

People are obessed with pace lol

If Tahir can bowl around 135 and 140, and has ablity to move the the ball both ways then with his height he will be handful. He did bring the ball back in to the right handers but the pitch didn't have much for the fast bowlers.

Dominic Cork on Tahir :

"I think they [Pakistan fast-bowlers] have done OK, I think that there is still a lot of work that bowling coaches want do with them, the left-armer Tahir needs to work on his wrist position as he is delivering the ball; This is something which with a little bit of maturity becomes easier to do"

what a beautiful action. Looks fast. 140 plus from the naked eye. wish we got some numbers.

No doubt.

pakistan are the premier bowling factory of all time. No question about it.
India too have good stocks over the past 5 years and are close to Pakistan's level.

australia, south africa are no where near Pakistan's level in terms of producing bowling talents.

I should say Fast bowling talents.

100%. from playing experience I can vouch for that ball being delivered at over 138 kmph.

The fastest I have ever faced in club cricket is 130.

this looked way faster.

Big day for him - he does well today and he could become a big star in the future (India Pakistan games do that!)

Barely touching 130kph

He didn't have the domestic performance to get selected

Ijaz Ahmed said today that Tahir has a back problem and will not play in the 3rd place play off.

Though Multan lost the match against Sialkot in Super Over in National T20 Cup 2023. But Tahir Hussain showed his class. He bagged 4 wickets in 4 overs while conceding just 26 runs.
