Mohammad Huraira shared following thoughts before his Test debut against West Indies:
"It is a huge privilege to represent your country in Test cricket, and the feeling that I get, I've always imagined what that feeling would be like, but when it happens, you can never explain it in words. It is just like you get a privilege, you get a responsibility like this, and with it comes more responsibility, so this was the first step, and now the second step for me is to make my team win the match by performing against West Indies through (a big) innings or creating an impact in the match."
"I topped the red ball team for two years, and along with that I also had a triple century and a double century (in first-class format), so there is no truth in it that I play for myself only and not for the team"
"I always tried to work on my basics and technique. I also focus a little on my biomechanics, and I think this is very useful for red ball cricket."
"I was travelling with the team for the last few series, and I also shared the dressing room with all the players, so I learnt a lot from the opposition as well, then our own grades; our team also helped me a lot to learn new things. I also learned from all the senior players."
"I try to talk to everyone, communicate, engage, and try to take their experience through conversations. So it was a very good and healthy environment; there was a lot of good learning experience, and I would like to make it memorable."
"My ODI debut was against West Indies, and my Test debut is against West Indies, so yes, I will try to make it memorable, and there is a lot of excitement everywhere in the entire family, and everyone would be excited to see what I do because there is a legacy. I think that Chachu has achieved so much; he has achieved so many completions and much more. There are achievements, so I think I should just try to make it memorable, and not just this day but also make my entire career memorable and try to continue our legacy."
