------------------

Continues his recent good form, out-bowling experienced pros.

Islamabad United has picked Muhammad Musa in Emerging Category for PSL 2019.

I said it before when I was watching this boy bowl in the U19 WC he impressed me more than Shaheen Afridi. Magnificent talent Mashallah and Inshallah he works hard and achieves success.

People are very quick to talk about a bowlers height and other stuff, a good bowler can use their height to their advantage. He will be a real watch for the PSL.

He is surely gonna make batsmen rush with the pace and nip he generates.

Considering his not too fast run up and silky smooth action batsmen arent gonna be prepared for that much pace which he generates right at the end. He is gonna dodge many good batsmen as he did at U19 level.

Excellent prospect.

Looked like a great talent, hope he progresses and makes it to the Pakistan team soon.

You don't earn praise from Wasim Akram if you don't have it.

Hopefully will become a very good bowler.

Sorry to say but Wasim has a mediocre eye for talent.

However, Musa is genuinely good.

Gutted for Saif badar not being selected in PSL. He handled Musa with relative ease during his counter attacking century a few days ago.

I don't really get the fuss behind Saif Badar. He was pretty non existent during last PSL, and apart from this week's century, he hasn't done anything of note in domestic circuit.

He may or may not have the talent everyone praises him for, but let him show that first.

In last PSL he wasnt used properly. In one innings he was made to bat low down the order as well which is typical of how things work in Pakistani cricket.

He has done more than this century which you speak off. He has scored quick 50s in crucial situations under pressure. Just needs an opportunity.

IU tend to give their youngsters a chance.

Hopefully he will get a few games.

IU management said they were surprised to see Musa being unpicked by any franchise before their turn. Tells you a lot about the scouting process of other franchises.

He is short, has a reluctant/hesitant runup, not express, won;t go too far. Good enough for under 19 cricket and probably FC cricket, not beyond that.

Similar was said about Mohammad Abbas. Abbas' rise should teach you that its hard to judge a players level unless you know about their work ethic, willingness to improve and adapt etc...

I think the rule is that one emerging player must be in the playing XI. Either one from Musa or Nasir Nawaz will play.

Hope Nasir Nawaz plays.

Islamabad has played more than 1 emerging player before so both can play. There fast bowling is weak so Musa will surely play. For the opening spot, it will be between Farhan and Nawaz to partner Ronchi.

Musa has confirmed to us that his height is 5'10.

Then sufficient- he is built like a tank. But, any reason why he is batting at 11 for his FC team? His FC teams should be forced to bat him at 8, if not 7.

he is a good batter...all national team bowlers should be forced to bat higher in domestic cricket...

Should Muhammad Musa be in the Pakistan team?

Muhammad Musa bowls pretty fast and is a decent bowler.
Do u think he should be in the team?
If so, when do u think he is likely to be included in the team?

Will Muhammad Musa play for Pakistan in the CWC19?

Muhammad musa is a pretty good bowler. He bowls 145kmph consistently. In the u19 semi final 2018 match against india he got 3 wickets. He was bowling 145kmph till the end of his 10 overs. Don't forget that this is the same match as the one where Shaheen afridi was getting smacked for boundaries by Shubman gill. Out of all of the pak bowlers only musa was containing him well.

Muhammad Musa has been selected for Islamabad United in the emerging catergory. But will he get enough games?
Do u think he's good enough to play for pakistan in the odi series against Aus?

Musa is too short and does not have a good action and run up. He will always be a good club or QAT grade 11 bowler, not beyond that.

He will surprise a few at PSL under wings of Waqar Younis if He stays fit.

Pakistan needs new faces in Pace department before World Cup.

Come on Deano & Waqar.

We need to see Youngsta's with some fire.

Get him into playing eleven today.

[VIDEO] Mohammad Musa performance watch

Finally he is playing today from Islamabad United. Heard lots about his pace.

I hope he can perform he seems like he has a lot of potential I hope he can control his nerves most people will be hard on him if he has a first bad match my advise continue with him even if he does their S talent in this young boy

Look at his height and he bowls freaken 140+

Unbelievable. Such a good action aswell.

Pakistan khelay ga yaye

He has that menace in his eyes..... We have found another gem.

Dafnay bichani hain bharat ki

He is a tank lol and bowls with heart and fire. Good pace too. Think he bowled 148kph in U19 world cup.

My favourite young talent.i was so happy when i saw he is selected.

He is future super star already have excellent debut

Runup, rythm, pace, line and length all top notch today. Impressive stuff.

Seems to be a fantastic bowler tbh. Pace, swing. Very nice. Thanks to Dean Jones, for giving another youngsta a chance.

.

And the competition in the final 11 gets even more tough. Our bench is building strength nicely

Bowled mainly to left handers so far, would love to see some inswinging yorkers at full pace at the end of the innings against the right handers!

I hope he goes far, but I fear for his back with the amount of effort that goes into his bowling. His run up looks just a little too long but with him and Haris,we have 2 genuine prospects.

Harris isnt a genuine prospect.

He lacks experience. The guy has barely played any club cricket.

Yes he did end up playing a season with some team but guys like musa have 5-6 years of club experience. After which yu get few years of youth and grade cricket and then domestic and then international.

Yes harris bowls pace but pace is not everything if you dont have the experience.

Harris is great for psl but not international quality.

Musa is great though and lets see how nasir nawaz does if he gets a chance

How quick was he bowling? Is he as quick as Rauf?

He was at 135 but was touching 142.

His action is beautiful, simple.

I think he uses his wrist.

Whats crazy is that he is short height but he is still hitting pace because of the way he throws the ball.

Bazid was saying that runours are he was a 125ish bowler and he imprpved in 1 year to get till 140+

Haris and Musa both have strengths- their pace but both have to use a lot of power and that as history shows means injuries. I think Haris has to work in his fitness and you are right that he doesn't have experience but if he was bright, he can learn pretty quickly. Musa is also genuine prospect but he like Haris is short and against good players, short bowlers struggle ( a generalisation but in the whole true).

He bowled at 145+ in 2018.

Let's see how well his body stands up to playing longer forms of cricket. As Bewal Express says he puts a lot of stress on his back.

Highest of 143 kph, and his average was 140 kph.

Most efficient action I have seen from pak bowler after M.Amir, it's only a matter of few years before we seeing him hitting 150ks regularly.

Fearless.... Hasan 2.0 I say... groom him now and make our pace bench strong:amir3

I got to say I love Danny Morrison's commentary" Musa gets moosed down town" is one of the lines of the year.

As Graeme Smith mentioned Musa has to clear his front leg otherwise his back will get hurt.

Every 2nd 3rd ball he almost falls in his follow through.

His bouncers are not as fast as his fuller deliveries. One was 135 kph and other was 136 kph.

Good Pace and attitude at such a young age. Encouraging and good to see but lots of work needed.

Glad to see a teenager from Pakistan clocking over 140 kph.

I think it's a WC that is a year too early for both Haris and Musa and tbh Afridi as well.

Don’t agree on Afridi. He has shown in all games so far that he is the real deal. He was probably the best bowler in SA. The only bowler from either side who swung the ball. Michael Holding kept repeating this throughout whole tour. And conditions in Eng will suit him.

Hassan, Shaheen and Amir are all in playing eleven.

I think they should select Junaid Khan as well.

Shinwari is strange case. At times he bowls some amazing deliveries but he get’s hammered as well.

Faheem Ashraf, though decent, but I just have a feeling it’s a matter of time before he is torn apart.

WC means pressure, and young bowlers take pressure differently. I agree with Afridi in SA but I worry that when the pressure really comes and in this WC there are no easy games because of the format, he won't have the experience to turn to.
