This is Good news. He has been highly rated for the last 5 years and finally, the promise might start to be fulfilled. It looks like he doesn't bowl anymore

Pakistan Television's Muhammad Shahzad showcased his batting prowess with a masterful century at No.7 against Khan Research Laboratories. PTV were struggling at 101-5, but Shahzad hit 13 fours and four sixes in his 129-run outing off 158 balls.

Interesting prospect bats aggressively not consistent yet but seems to be an X factor guy also bowls medium pace

He was rated highly by Ejaz Ahmad during u 19 days. He should be given chance in A team

Just got a hatrick. Decent stats. Pakistan should get him some Shaheen tours

He is a decent player. He should be groomed to improve his game. Allrounders are rarity in Pakistan

currently batting on 72 not out @m.shah
Bro is a gun all rounder.
His batting really impressed me , he is bold and fearless batter with all the shots in the book. Bowling wise he is no batter than Hussain Talat , got a career strike rate of 82 and avg of 44 in FC and that’s no easy feat on under prepared wickets.

Yes saw his bowling highlights. He needs to improve his bowling massively to get any chance

Probably one of their better all-rounder prospects for Test cricket. Hope he continues to develop well.

He can walk in to our side in all 3 format with his batting alone , his bowling is just a plus.
Yeah batting wise he is better than frauds like rana, happy heart and imam.
He and Arafat should have been in the team for nz series over pmln parchi and damaad.

Abdul Samad of jk doesnt even get selected in his state team,if he was in pakistan he would have been captaining the side.
Pakistan simply does not produce high quality players anymore.
Walking into Pakistan team is not a big deal but performing against good teams is.

Yeah. No express pace but good line and length and his batting has been his stronger point... Good player in making if he continues to work hard.
He is highest six hitter and 2nd highest run scorer in the ongoing president trophy which is being played on underprepared pitches.

Both him and Shamyl Hussain are in tremendous form and should be included in Shaheen Tours.

If a guy bats at 80+ strike rate on a bowling friendly pitches and start scoring tons for fun then there is something about him. And he also took the fifer because of bowling friendly conditions and scored a ton on the same surface.

The hype is real guys , I think he is as talented as Saim Ayub in terms of raw talent.

Who told you Abdul Samad is not selected in state team ? He has been playing for jk for last 5 years consistently now

Shaheen tours are a must but ofcourse this is PCB we don’t do common sense

His rapid ton came against the likes of M.Abbas , M.Ismail (leading Wkt taker of this tournament) Niaz Khan (leading quaid trophy wkt taker) and Veteran spinner Kashif Bhatti and all that on an underprepared wicket in day n night pink ball 4 day game , that’s some serious innings against good bowlers.

Wont be surprised if he makes it to the test squad for sa tests

this guy is looking seriously talented, hpefully he will get a call to play for a national side very soon

Reminds me of Nasir Jamshed stand tall and deliver approach and he is extremely good against moving ball.

The six he hit to Abbas in the end is effortless

His wrist work is unbelievable he hacks few in between some glorious shots from what I see in a system that develops players well he could be next big thing in global cricket but in a system like ours he can easily lose his way and be forgotten in 1 year

Yeah we have many talented test players coming through but our clown 🤡 coach only dishes out lottery pitches which take skills out of frame.

Are the pitches in domestics pacy and bouncy just like sena or is it just seam movement off the pitch??

Now then, here's for once something to talk about. Seems to play the ball late and generally keeps hands close to the body. Good to see some backfoot shots.

Some tulla baazi in these clips which he'll need to be careful about when facing better bowlers but some aggression is necessary even in Tests and shouldn't be excessively discouraged. More excited by him than Huraira.

The 5-team Champions FC tournament scheduled for SEP-OCT will be a good gauge of his ability as that will be a better standard competition than this. Goes without saying PCB should take him on Shaheens tours too.

@Bewal Express @Xoib @Muhammad Saad

No the champions cup fc is starting from may ending.

Yes as I said in earlier post from limited clips he looks like a serious talent but he’s up against it there are no A tours for his development, a low IQ social media fan base who turns you in to a star after inconsequential performances and then last but not the least toxic ex players with their agendas

If this guy is coming through a system like India or Australia he turns in to a global star in next three- four years but we both know the story here in next few years we will be talking of another wasted talent.

I checked it earlier because I also remember reading it was starting May-June - but it's now scheduled for Sep-Oct.

Good points. He has talent but talent alone won't get him anywhere. He needs to be a guy suited to 6 at the higher level and should be looking to bat 4 or 5 in FC. Lots of FC cricket on good wickets and make sure he bats properly.

Lots of hard work ahead. He looked good at the age group level and not too bad at the U19 level.

Islamabad United Drafts in Muhammad Shehzad for PSL 2025

Islamabad United is pleased to announce the addition of Muhammad Shehzad to our squad for the upcoming PSL 2025 season.

Aged 21, Shehzad is one of the most exciting young prospects in Pakistan cricket. He was the standout performer in the recently concluded President’s Trophy, where he amassed 700+ runs and took 20 wickets, showcasing his all-round ability and temperament under pressure.

Shehzad’s inclusion continues Islamabad United’s tradition of identifying and backing emerging talent from Pakistan’s domestic circuit. The franchise remains committed to providing a platform for young performers to develop their skills, whether by playing in PSL matches or by gaining invaluable experience sharing the dressing room with international stars and a world-class coaching setup.

Head Coach Mike Hesson praised Shehzad’s potential, stating:
“Shehzad is a talented young cricketer who has performed exceptionally in domestic cricket. His ability to contribute with both bat and ball makes him a valuable addition to our squad. Islamabad United has always believed in nurturing young players, and we are excited to see how he develops in a high-performance environment.”

General Manager Rehan Ulhaq echoed the sentiment, adding:
“We have always prioritized merit and performances when selecting emerging players, and Muhammad Shehzad’s recent domestic record speaks for itself. He has earned this opportunity, and we look forward to seeing him grow alongside some of the best cricketers in the world.”

Islamabad United remains committed to building a squad that blends experience with emerging talent, ensuring a strong and competitive unit for PSL 2025.

He is clearly talented and has got his basics covered so no harm in trying him out instead the hacks we are trying , plus he can chip in with few overs as well.

A good all-rounder who will vanish if he is not groomed properly... Bring him in for Shaheens for the next tours. Let him play domestic cricket and keep and eye on him.

talent is definitely there but we are just selecting the wrong players
We should focus on these core players for the next 2 years
Shamyl
Azan
Shahzeb
Maaz
Uzair
Usman u19
Shehzad

They all went through age cricket and have a solid batting technique and can be groomed properly for modern cricket.

This guy is looking seriously talented... excited to see him playing in PSL

Dropped on a short ball in the second highlight.

Inside edge to the only ODI class average bowler in Usama Mir.

All shots are hoicks, how is this a talented display of batting?

I think he’s one of those aggressive players who is better in Red ball then white ball his sweet spot is batting at a
SR of 80-90 the moment he looks to over attack he loses his poise

I think he is more suited to ODis then T20s , can be tried in test as well. He’s got talent but his judgement and selection of attacking shot is a work in progress.
