Could be an inspired selection but the thing is, he was not even a centrally contracted player... This selection could back fire also

Only puzzle is the selectors failing to realize he is not international material, he got sufficient chances in international cricket and failed to consistently perform.

He broke down in the dressing room after failing against England in 2022 and the team management, selectors had lost confidence in him afterwards. He is a mental midget

Tbf, he’s a part time spinner. Judge him by his performances with the bat, which you can’t because he played better than RizBar.

They expect a player who is making his way back into the national team to win you games from ball 1, but the 2 players who are at their “peak” continue to fail, yet their performances are swept under the carpet.
 
The fact is we do not have any proper all-rounder since Mo Hafeez retired in 2021…

Shadab was promising at one point but his bowling fitness sharply fell away in the last two years..

Nawaz, Shaheen and Aamer Iamal are all bowlers who can score 10-15 runs at most.

Khushdil and Faheem can neither bat nor bowl..

Salman Agha is promising but remains to be seen if he is a proper all-rounder or just a batsman who can howl part time
 
He’s the perfect kind of scapegoat for RizBar fans in these situations.

One of the best scapegoats since Misbah took over after Sarfaraz and employed Rizwan.
 
No matter the match situation, the pitch, or the opponent, this guy is pure garbage. Failure is written all over his face. Despite this, somehow, the idiots at PCB can't see through him.
Keep bringing khushdil 2.0, 3.0 and so on... The end result would be the same...
 
Wow. This guy got a spot.

You could have blooded Arafat Minhas or Qasim Akram. You had the poor option of going back to Mohammad Nawaz if needed.

You could have brought Jamal in for a pacer at No.7 & bring in an out and out spinner such as Nauman or Sajid.

But just 22 runs in the Tri-Series at 61.11 SR with only 1 boundary

Terrible International player, wish him best of luck in making money around the world in leagues but he should be no way near Pakistan in the future.

They completely wrecked the confidence of an upcoming youngster in Irfan Niazi by playing this filth.
 
Khusdil bowled exceptionally well today, infact not enough runs to defend as @Rana predicted perfect left arm angle darts in to give 4-5 cheap overs
 
This fraud khushdil is not even good enough to play domestic cricket.

He is sifarshi along with nerd abrar and midget chicken saud.
They all have to be kicked out hard.

Niazi in his short stint despite being much younger and inexperienced has performed better than Khushdil has.

Khushdil is terrible, he has no talent for international cricket and has zero temperament to boot.

I don't even understand how he made the team. on what basis was he selected again after failing so many times in international cricket.

The guy has average of 10 with the bat and 46 with the ball. How could he be even selected again.
All these sifarshi players have to be kicked out.

Parchi leader nawaz sharif ki dain hain yai sahab.
 
some players regardless of domestic performances are not cut out for international cricket. Khushdil, Faheem, Shadab Khan, Nawaz, all fall into that category. They will never make it at the international level. Sooner one realizes the sooner the torture ends. These types of players will do well against minnows where you need to blood youngsters. That is it

Exactly, lanat on Aqib or Rizwan - whosoever was involved behind the selection of these two.
 
After he was in tears during his last stint with Pakistan I hoped he could make a strong comeback in the tri-series, but he has not improved at all.
 
The puzzle remains the puzzle again. Khushdil's selection was purely on BPL basis and it shows in his performance to why BPL should not be the merit for selection.

Khushdil could have easily played for his own milestone and remained unbeaten on a century, but he kept attacking to try and win the game for Pakistan. Love that mindset—some others could learn from him.

Still will say a nepotism selection . Selected mainly due to his connections with Rizwan . Even he did Allright he doesn’t deserve to be in team on merit

The options were to either pick Saqi’s useless damaad or Kaptaana’s friend.

Khushdil needs to be backed at least for this tournament.

Its not as if we have much of a choice.
 
Gotta say he surprised me today. Hopefully, this isn't his once in a blue contribution and we have found a somewhat reliable power-hitter.

KHushdil tried but still, i will not rate him high... He is a bits and pieces player and his fielding was pathetic last night. His bowling is also useless. Not sure if he is gonna help win us any game here..

Without Saim Ayub, you can't have someone who bats at 7 and doesn't bowl a few overs . Niazi doesn't bowl.

Replacing Khushdil with Niazi is not on as its not a like for like replacment.

Useful for cameos. May not play the main act as his game is a bit hackish even for a lower order hitter. Scoring shots are limited.
