[VIDEOS] The puzzle that is Khushdil Shah...

Khushdil Shah fined for breaching ICC Code of Conduct

Pakistan player Khushdil Shah has been fined 50 per cent of his match fee for breaching Level 2 of the ICC Code of Conduct during the first T20I against New Zealand in Christchurch on Sunday.

Khushdil was found to have breached Article 2.12 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “inappropriate physical contact with a Player, Player Support Personnel, Umpire, Match Referee or any other person (including a spectator during an International Match).”

In addition to this, three demerit points have been added to Khushdil’s disciplinary record, for whom it was the first offence in a 24-month period.

The incident occurred in the eighth over of Pakistan’s innings, when running between the wickets, Khushdil made inappropriate physical contact with bowler Zakary Foulkes with a high degree of force, which was reckless, negligent and avoidable.

Khushdil admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by Jeff Crowe of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, so there was no need for a formal hearing.

On-field umpires Wayne Knights and Sam Nogajski, third umpire Kim Cotton and fourth umpire Chris Brown levelled the charge.

Level 2 breaches carry a fine of 50 to 100 per cent of a player’s match fee or up to two

He needs to play a good 12-15 balls before he starts to connect. Even then the bowler needs to put the ball in his slot.

The puzzle working well for Karachi Kings this season both with the bat and ball. Claimed 1 wicket so far against Peshawar Zalmi as he made T.Kohler Cadmore depart in a single digit score in PSL X.

Khushdil perform well in Bangladesh League. He is in good form.Sometimes he gives his wicket away by wrong shot selection.

Khushdil Shah at the post-match presentation:

"Yes, when I came in to bat, there was pressure on us. The management had already communicated that they'd send me down the order to handle such situations. Our plan was to take the game deep and reassess from there.

In the last two overs, we knew we had to go after it. We had calculated that they'd have to use a spinner or a part-timer at the death, so we backed ourselves and executed well.

I'm grateful to Karachi Kings for the opportunities—they’ve trusted me with four overs, promoted me up the order, and involved me in all aspects of the game. That’s really helping me grow as an all-rounder.

And yes, getting Babar's wicket again—he’s their key player—was definitely satisfying."

LOL - again and again people fall in the trap, please do not judge an international players basis PSL performances.
The level is shockingly low!
