What's the point of being a the biggest domestic bully if you can't hit any sixes when Pakistan needs them most? I was in support of giving him chances because he was one of the most consistent domestic performers for years and you can see what a clean hitter of the ball he is. But now that he has been given a good consistent run in the side, you can see that he has done nothing to show that he is an international caliber cricketer. Time and time again he has failed in high-pressure situations. Considering his age, any matches you give him now, you're taking away chances from younger, more deserving guys who are capable of achieving a lot more.

Supporting him was clueless… the guy literally didn’t show any performance vs Nz away nor Home Series. Yet people still believed in him. He is worst Thn khusdil.

Iffi time is over. He has played more games than he should have based on his performance. His numbers are good in domestic but he has been equally pathetic in internationals. No match-winning inning in such a long career, never lived up to expectations.

I don't think there are too many cleaner hitters of a cricket ball in Pakistan cricket than Iftikhar Ahmed, yet time and again we see him struggle to perfrom for Pakistan.

However he looks a different player in domestic T20 cricket as we are seeing in the BPL where in 3 out of his last 4 innings he has scored:

56* off 34 balls
100* off 45 balls
57* off 26 balls

Why aren't we geeting the best out of him?

Is he a domestic bully?
Overrated?
Not good enough for the highest level of cricket?
Just unlucky?
Not utlised properly?

I hate to break it to you but this is the best of Iftikhar Ahmed.. We need to stop over-hyping our mediocre players and accept that we have no world class players in our team.

Also, we need to stop over-hyping Babar Azam please, mediocre batsman who looks all at sea the moment he faces quality opposition..

We have too many players who play one good knock but then goes missing in the next 8 games.

Is that good enough to retain players who have been playing for almost ten years? Afridi left a terrible legacy for Pakistan Cricket where players are persisted with so many failures ie the day he clicks, he will win the game singlehandedly but what about 90% of the games he lost?

Lol Axar has a better range of shots and better temperament frankly speaking. Iftikhar is a legside Hack and can't rotate the strike and is horrible against spin.
