15. Sadiq Muhammad - no, #15 was a fast bowler.
33. Nazir Muhammad - no. It is Asif Iqbal
42. Zulqarnain - Yes
46. Shafiq Ahmed Papa - yes
52. Ijaz Faqih - yes

Ok I think I forgot to the insert the numbers. I'd like for that post to be deleted now. A couple of them look like Ejaz Butt. I think one may also be Hassan Jamil. Liaqat Ali, Aamir Hameed and Parvez Mir I think are also in the mix. I will post numbers shortly, since all pictures do not load fully on my browser for some reason.

Ok.....I am impressed with your guesses?? :) :) This "Zaman Park" also sounds familiar........Imran/Burki/Majid grew up there?? Are you old enough to personally know these players or you have an old book/magazine or ???

I don't have pictures of posted Hassan Jamil, PJ Mir (ARY talk show host), Amir Hameed.
This book only deals with test cricket of Paksitan therefore it did not include these 3 players since they have not played test cricket.

Yes, Imran/ Majid/Burki are related to me. I grew up in "Zaman Park". Those guys are older than me.

I don't have this book. Did I get 31. Nazir Muhammad right?

That explains it!!....you must have MET most of the Lahore players from old days! Nice to know!

Anyways....#31 is not Nazar Mohammad (Mudassar's dad) or Mohammad Nazir (the off spinner).

Clue..... #31 is from Lahore, also umpired for Pakistan in a ODI match.

...also, I am surpised that you didn't get #39.....!! :)

All the pics in the book are B&W except the cover. :) I'll post the cover after I have posted all 107 individual pictures.

This book also has some "action" pictures and some group pictures which pretty small.

Whats the name of the book w63l35?

I have to go home and look at the exact title of the book. It is in Urdu. I'll let you know later today. It was published in 1989 or 1990. I am also going to post author's picture. I am sure, a lot of people will recognise him too!

....no, he is from your neck of the woods in Lahore! Infact, all of the pictures I have seen of him are totally different than this pic I posted. He looks totally different in this pic from he "normally" looked like. So..think looks!! Right now, he should be 50-55 years old! I'll be shocked if you said you never met this guy in person! :) :)

This thread is just classic.

Thanks Qasim....but "Qasim Cricket Clips" is no less classic than this one!!1 :19:

The thing which REALLY got me interested, was the pictures of the lesser known players from 50s and 60s....!!! For example, #4, #7 and #11. I mean, I had not even heard these names before........well, I had on crapinfo but!!!

I have already posted 56 pics. I still have 51 more to go. I glad PPers are enjoying it....and I am enjoying stumping Zaman Park with #39! :)

This book was written in 1989/90. If somebody can post pics of lesser known players from 1989 onwards, that would be great! For example, Ali Naqvi, Azam Khan, Atif Rauf, Irfan Fazal, Masood Anwar, Qaisar Abbas....well, you get the picture!!

The guy in picure #9 is a dude..look at that collar action..who is it? By the way where is Sarfraz in his heyday

There you go Mooz...a clean sweep!

The originals are in colour, but I thought I would change them into B&W in the spirit of this thread:)

Rana, here is the cover/title of the book.

It is called "Pakistan Test Cricket 1952 to 1989".
Also, here is the picture of the author of the book. Any guesses here? I heard, he is settled in Houston USA?

Yes, he has.....

1) http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/usa/content/story/141155.html
USACA CEO

Two apply for top job

Wisden Cricinfo staff
May 24, 2004

According to Wisden Cricinfo sources, two USA-based candidates have applied for the post of chief executive officer of the USA Cricket Association.

The two are named as S.M.X. (Bobby) Refaie, current Secretary of the USA Cricket Association, and Hassan Jalil, a cricket developer with extensive experience in South Asia and the USA. However, this could not be officially confirmed. Mark Waugh, former Australian Test cricketer, has been mentioned as a possible candidate, but this has also not been confirmed.

US Cricketers are waiting with bated breath for the announcement from the ICC. The appointment of this CEO is expected to set the future direction of US cricket, and a lot is riding on the final outcome.

2) He organosed a double-wicket tournament in New Jersey a few years ago (televised live on Zee TV in USA) and won by Afridi/Akram pair - if I remember correctly.
