Blackwood scored 90-odd in an innings against us in UAE. Not sure why he isn't playing. Especially because he is in the squad.
Now he will most likely be thrown into the fire in UK. After missing a home series vs Pak. Can't believe Singh played over Blackwood.

clearly out of his depth at this level. Needs to go to First Class and rack up the runs.

As I said in the match thread, he's a decent batsman in slow, low spin conditions which you'd expect given he plays his FC cricket in Guyana.

However his technique and footwork will be problematic against quality pace bowling. He wouldn't be a good selection for the England tour this summer.

Blackwood lacks the temperament for Test cricket. Plus its not like he's set the world on fire in his Test career so far.

WICB need to patch up their differences with Darren Bravo, or call up Sunil Ambris who's been in excellent form in FC cricket.
