Visiting India as a British Pakistani - getting a visa

He doesn't have a victim mentality he is quite purposeful and attack minded towards his target. Victims are victims of circumstance, this is another breed who will stay on point like a pit bull, even bans won't stop this sort.

I get what you are saying, but he is suffering from a victim complex as in hes blaming Pakistani society, government and laws for all the problems he has apparently suffered.

I know his type, he will never be satisified no matter what happens. Just a finger pointer, and I am sure he was banned before under some different ID.

Like I said its completely pointless debating with people that have an agenda. And I have seen enough of your posts to know that by now.

Maybe one day you will see the mirror and reflect on yourself and get rid of the victim mentality you suffer from, but looks unlikely.

It's not victim mentality. There is no demand for 'special privileges'.

Every human being deserves 'equal rights'.

I believe that if we were living by the UN Human Rights Charter in Pakistan, we could challenge India, but since we don't give equal rights to our own citizens based on religion, we have nothing to complain to India about.

What has he done as a nuclear scientist. How is even qualified on this area. He has worked with DRDO and ISRO, but when did he work on nuclear physics? Then how the hell is he the one to to talk about the nuclear yield during pokhran tests. How the hell did this guy become known as the missile man? Which one of his missiles have been successful? He is the Salman Khan of Indian science. Just like Bhai can do no bad, apj clown can never be wrong. And his megalomania is well known in delhi circles. The clown got a hut created in raisina hill and called it the thinking hut. Was created with huge expenses only later to be demolished during Patil's tenure. The clown wanted to become the president again, but when he found no support after meeting political parties, then claimed that he does not want to run for the post. Go to his native village rameshwaram and see how he is selling stuff using his name. But if India can have the scumbags Indira Gandhi and Ataj Bihari Vajpayee as bharat ratnas, then another scum like Kalam the clown is not surprising.

you should seriously stop calling people names..especially if they have achieved more..and respected persons in their field !

some of claims..first time I am hearing..will look into it !

Last post.

Firstly who is "we" ?? You only speak for yourself and your experiences. You don't represent me or anyone else.

Secondly I or anyone can debate or "complain" about anything that is permissible on this forum - weather it is Pakistan or India.

It actually shows how pathetic your thinking is and exposes your agenda even more. Give it a rest.

I will call them what they deserve. None of your business. Just like none of my business if you worship them.

No need for personal attacks just because you can't make your point through a civil argument.

It's not about me or my neighbor.

The fact is; Pakistan's constitution bans all Non-Muslim citizens from positions of power.

Why would India give Pakistanis equal treatment, when Pakistan does not give equal treatment to its Non-Muslim citizens!

A visa for a visit isn't really the same thing as a Pakistani wanting to be PM of India. No one is expecting to get equal rights when visiting as a tourist.

lol personal attack.

You will not last long either with this ID. Bye.

And that is exactly what we are getting from India. Unequal treatment on getting tourist visa than citizens of other countries.

If we can't give equal treatment, we shouldn't complain when we receive the same from others.

Pakistanis shouldn't complain about treatment they get in India in the first place. If they are trying to go there to appreciate the country it serves them right to get kicked up the rear. I would have no problem if they got flogged and thrown in the same jails as Kashmiri separatists.

A simple search on Wikipedia reveals:

In the 1970s, Kalam also directed two projects, namely, Project Devil and Project Valiant , which sought to develop ballistic missiles from the technology of the successful SLV programme.[16] Despite the disapproval of Union Cabinet, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi allotted secret funds for these aerospace projects through her discretionary powers under Kalam's directorship.[16] Kalam played an integral role convincing the Union Cabinet to conceal the true nature of these classified aerospace projects.[16] His research and educational leadership brought him great laurels and prestige in 1980s, which prompted the government to initiate an advanced missile programme under his directorship.[16] Kalam and Dr V S Arunachalam, metallurgist and scientific adviser to the Defence Minister, worked on the suggestion by the then Defence Minister, R Venkataraman on a proposal for simultaneous development of a quiver of missiles instead of taking planned missiles one after another.[17] R Venkatraman was instrumental in getting the cabinet approval for allocating ₹388 crores for the mission, named Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme (IGMDP) and appointed Kalam as the chief executive.[17] Kalam played a major part in developing many missiles under the mission including Agni, an intermediate range ballistic missile and Prithvi, the tactical surface-to-surface missile, although the projects have been criticised for mismanagement and cost and time overruns.

Enumerate what has the clown done as a nuclear scientist (which he is not). And how successful were the DRDO projects in which he was involved.

I hope somebody else answers this for you. I mis-stepped by overquoting your post. My Wikipedia response was to the following solely:

How the hell did this guy become known as the missile man? Which one of his missiles have been successful?

Anyone have any experience of this? (successful or otherwise)

Been invited to a wedding next year. I am British born and bred, but of Pakistani origin and have told this will make it difficult for me to get a visa. Probably doesn't help that I've made a few trips to Pakistan in the last couple of years.

Hi Mo, I'm in a similar situation to you. I just wanted to check how the whole application and whether or not you got the visa and how long it took?

Many thanks
Sami

My papers are almost complete for Kashmir (Jammu) ... Just the visa left; though it is difficult but luckily one of my uncles is a high public authority there, and usually speeds up things; otherwise gaining a visa is almost impossible. They torture you big time.

I live in UK, but have a EU passport - yet India give you stress. Trick is, to say your grandparents or great grand parents are origins of India apparently lol.

Apparently which is true

Sorry to drag up an old thread but wondering if anyone had any recent first hand experience of this (not interested in anyone's opinion, politics, religion, etc.) I'm British born and have only ever held a British passport. My parents were born in Pakistan and hold both Pakistani and British passports.

I'm interested in joining a touring group travelling around India for 2 weeks in December and I need to sort out my own visa. The problem is I'd need to pay for the trip now and then hope the visa comes through, and on time. This is purely a holiday and I don't have anyone in India who could sponsor me.

Any chance of getting a visa within 2 months?

Good chance as you dont hold a Pakistani Passport. But they Indian High Commision may ask you to give an affidavit saying that you dont hold a pakistani passport and few other things.

2 of my American-Pakistanis and one British Pakistani both with Indian spouses....either have never got a visa for India.

Indians kept rejecting, two have given up a few years back.

Its a ridiculous process, i recently decided against going to india for friend's wedding.
The company below deals with the visa on behalf of the high comission.
http://www.vfsglobal.com/india/uk/Tourist.html

Click on the link that says additional documents for pakistanis and others etc.... its a pdf document and goto the section that applies to you and there is a link to an additional document that you may need to fill. Basically you give them your entire life story, some of which you may not be able to provide if your parents are no longer alive.

I should add that you definitely should not pay for holiday now, as getting he visa and that too in time is a rarety especially in the current climate. In your case as you have no sponsor, or someone providing you a notorised letter from india, your chances of getting a visa are very slim.

What are the current chances of getting a visa to India. Born in Pakistan but have a British passport. Been to Pakistan four times on this passport and it will be for 10 days for a wedding in December.

If you have a Pak visa or stamp in your PP they will give you a hard time. I had experienced the same in 2007 applying from UAE, they questioned my visits and visas to Pakistan and wasted 2 days for no reason but the visa was provided in the end.

Get letters of support/reccomendation etc from people who are inviting you.

Do you still have a Pakistani passport? If yes then you have to apply on that passport.

If no you have to get a xeclaration that you have given up Pakistani citizenship.
