Barabanki: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ranjeet Bahadur Srivastava on Thursday brewed a fresh controversy by asking voters to cast their ballot in favour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi if they want to destroy Muslims.

"In the past five years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made attempts to break the morale of the Muslims. Vote for PM Modi if you want to destroy the breed of Muslims. Despite partition, the Muslim population is increasing in the country and soon they will able to get the grip on the power through voting," he said while addressing a gathering in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh.

The BJP leader also said, "after the Lok Sabha elections, the party will bring machines from China to shave 10-12 thousands of Muslims and later will force them to adopt Hindu religion." He asked people to vote for the BJP in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections or else, "get ready to face consequences if you do not vote for the BJP."

Voting for the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh concluded at 5 pm with a turnout of 67.55 per cent on Thursday. The remaining 64 seats will go to polls in the next five phases of elections. The counting of votes will take place on May 23.

Actually, it's a little surprising to see BJP's leaders openly calling for forced conversions of Muslims to Hinduism. I don't doubt that it is an agenda of BJP, but I didn't think even Sanghis were this brazenly stupid (to say it on record).

Muslims in Indian are the victims of racism. They are treated the same way blacks were treated in Confederate States. Its sad that there isn't an Indian Muslim version of Malcolm X who could fight for them and represent them.

The moment the situation changes they forget and move on and dont care about showing the oppressive history in media or in education so that future muslim generations could be protected.

These scums are really after Muslims. Muslims better stop voting for Owaisis and other regional parties and all their votes should go for congress otherwise a divided votebank will only help BJP chances. Congress is not a party of angel but for now they are the only survival option for Muslims in India. Owaisis and co can't do anything with those few seats

I was talking to a few UP guys at a party here and they said, everyone is a thug in UP politics. They say stuff knowing that nothing will happen to them. Even they want to distance themselves from the state of UP and they are saying they are from Bangalore, Mumbai etc
