Wanting Son, UP Man Rips Open Pregnant Wife's Stomach To Find Out Baby's Gender: Cops

I think i'm going to throw up. What an animal

There are illegal clinics which provide the gender of the child and help in abortion, and tell the parents it is a girl child even when it is a boy, so that they get their abortion fees.

Thats sick as well. But this is even more sick and brutal.

It was a boy this time, so?

It doesn't matter to most sensible people. However for this stupid person, he didn't want another daughter (after 5) which is supposedly what's caused this sick attack which killed this unborn child - turned out he murdered what he wanted.

Should be treated as a murder and must be penalized accordingly! Such low life, doesn't belong to a civilized society.

India isn't a civilised society. Why else would you get this sort of thing happening? The culture of celebrating baby boys by distributing sweets is still probably rampant across the whole subcontinent.

Wow!

Very shocking. Only a monster can do something like this.

Yeah, truly a sick thing to celebrate birth of boys and mourn birth of girls.

Its not in TN and I don't think that village can be generalized as well.

in TN, they celebrate when the girl menstruates for the first time. No taboo attached.

I know not sure why that is a case... but surely there were issues before that's why below:

The cradle baby scheme

Irrespective of what anyone says TN leaders over the years have done a lot for the state with its social programs from Kamraj,MGR to Jayalalitha

No. It's not that common here in the south.

But rampant in states like UP, Haryana, Bihar etc.

Yes, and the question was, does it happen in your part of India unless you live on a secluded island?

For some reason I thought you were from Punjab.

Why do Indians have a habit of making it as though the south is paradise and north is hell?

Below link from TOI seems to suggest the difference is countrywide!
