Was 2015 World Cup the best edition of Cricket World Cups?

Today is 10th Anniversary of ODI CWC 2015. Can’t believe how quickly 10 years have passed. This was one of if not the best edition of the Cricket World Cup. Everything was perfect and most importantly all of our childhood heroes were at Prime or were entering their Prime.

→The Theme Song was OP. Whenever I watch promo video, nostalgia hits hard.
→ Brendon McCullum chasing Pacers down the ground and hitting them for 6’s and 4’s.
→Mitch Starc delivering the best ever performance by a Pacer in a WC. Boult Being extraordinary.Southee taking 7W-Haul.
→ Kohli scoring Century against Pak,Raina playing a Great supporting Knock. MSD Finishing off matches in death. Rescuing team against ZIM with Raina. Dhawan being top scorer of the side.
→ABD Scoring 150+ Runs against WI to make the record of fastest 150 [He missed to make this record earlier against the same opponent -149(44).
→Wahab Riaz’s spell against Australia and his battle with Shane Watson.
→Grantt Eliot & Baz’s inning breaking SA’s heart. It was the first match where I saw a team crying. ABD,Morkel,Steyn all were left in tears after that defeat.
→Guptill & Gayle’s Double Centuries.
→ Aus vs NZ GS Match where Starc & Boult dominated opponents.
→AND STARC DISMISSING MCCULUM FOR A DUCK, MAKING NZ TEAM LOOSE THE GAME IN THE FIRST OVER ITSELF

I was a child at that time,so no idea of remembering 2011.
My first cricket match watching experience the group stage match between nz and aus which kiwis won by 1 wicket courtesy the williamson six.
That game made me to fall in love with the beautiful game and now I have become cricket enthusiast who watches all kinds of cricket matches including matches played by zimbabwe,ireland.

No. I don't think it was the best World Cup. 2015 final was very one-sided.

I think 1999 WC was much better (my first World Cup).

I also think 2019 WC was better than 2015 one.

2011 was miles ahead of this boring WC

It had all twists and drama in it

Ireland beating England

End of Aussies dominance
And end of their 34 WC match winning streak

Afridi running through batsman with his magic spin

It was missed opportunity to win a WC

We had a really great WC campaign which I was not expecting

Given you are very young, the 2015 World Cup may have been the most thrilling edition for you. It was definitely more interesting than the 2019 and 2023 editions, which had too many dead rubbers. The 10 team league format was dull, with no room for underdog teams to make an impact.

I personally enjoyed the 2003 World Cup and the 2024 T20 World Cup the most. The reason is the surprising teams like Kenya and Afghanistan reaching the semifinals in those tournaments and almost every match had a value.
