Sri Lanka have totally dominated the Afghans at home.

The home side won the only test by 10 wickets then they whitewashed the Afghans in the Odis by 3-0, registering one sides wins in all the 3 matches.

in T20Is, they have an unassailable 2-0 lead.

Considering the improvement Afghanistan had shown in the recent times, were the Sri Lankans expected to dominate Afghanistan in such a way?

What was your expectations from Afghanistan when they were without their two best bowlers - Rashid and Mujeeb?

They alone are worth more than all their other bowlers put together. They never had a chance on this tour with such a depleted attack.

Afghanistan are missing Rashid Khan and also Sri Lanka are playing in their home conditions, matches between the two sides at neutral venues wouldn't be so one sided.

I think teams have 2 many expectations from Afg.

Without premier bowlers Rashid & Mujeeb this Afg team will struggle to beat the like of UAE.
Is there any other team so much over dependent on 1-2 players?

Afghanistan has improved a lot specially in the short format of cricket. If they beat Sri Lanka or any other international team so it won't be considered as an upset.

It's just a no brainer that Sri Lanka would have razed Afghanistan in their own backyard.

AFG were without a few key bowlers, so this was expected.

Besides AFG bring out their A game against Pakistan only, and since Pakistan struggle against them it can give a false impression of their consitency.

The pool of talent in afghanistan is not that big , they need to build a solid structure so that younger players keep coming. They need to bring in more players .

You cannot say that Sri Lanka is going to dominate Afghanistan every time now. Afghanistan has come a long way to make themselves worthy of beating any team in the world. Already gave tough time to top teams in the World cup so by no means they are to be considered a minnow team.
