For me this was the best Asia Cup to date. In the past, Asia cup meant only India, Pak, and SRL which no doubt would be less interesting.

However, in the 2018 edition every team played some exciting cricket including Hong Kong. Also, the super 4 format was an excellent idea to make the tournament more interesting.

My interest in this year's Asia Cup was same as that of Champions Trophy 2017. To be honest, matches in England gets washed away more often than not. Also, matches in UAE meant we saw crowds from all of the nations including lots of AFG fans.

The tournament concluded with a thrilling final. Overall, I would rate this years Asia Cup edition 9/10.

Only thing that could improve going forward would be umpiring. I felt umpires were pretty poor throughout the tournament. Nonetheless, ICC is going the right direction by allowing teams to have reviews and calling for third umpires on close calls.

Also, one of SENA teams could be invited to make the tournament even more exciting since Champions Trophy will no longer take place.

There was an Asia cup final 6 years ago contested by Pakistan and Bangladesh.

I still liked Asia cup 2016 more. The arrogance of Bangla fans were at its peak back then post a good 2015 and they were making Dhoni beheaded photoshops etc. Then when MS hit that 104 m six in the final, the crowd reaction was epic. Ramiz Raja's commentary in air "He has punchured the spirit of the crowd with that six." GOLD :))

Pakistan had similar sort of arrogance (no photoshops though) this time post CT win. Again it needed India to put them in their place.

So its basically India showing who is the boss in 2 Asia cups to 2 Asian sides whose heads were in the cloud.

It was decent at best. Asia cups were more interesting and contested fiercely when we had strong Lankan teams. The standard diluted a lot. A mediocre Indian side emerged as number 1. It just shows the quality of the tournament

The earlier Asia Cup were like tri series
3 strong & rest were decorations

BD & Afg have improved

Even HK gave India a tough fight

Would like to see 8 teams in Asia Cup next time
Associates have improved

Super4 should be there but points of group matches should be carried forward and teams of same group shouldn't play each other at the Super4 stage

This format was the best till date, kept it interesting till the end, hopefully they keep it for a while.

I don’t think the Indian team could have claimed to be any boss considering how close the final match went. The match went down to the last ball and it could have been anyone’s game and not to forget their draw with Afghanistan. The Indian team has a lot of weaknesses and Pakistan seemed disoriented the entire tournament, doesn’t mean that if we meet at another tournament things won’t be different.

Pakistan was off color. BD was inconsistent losing heavily and then scraping wins. Stars were missing from India, BD. 2016 T20 Asia cup was more memorable. Amir's spell vs India, Indians dismantling Fizz, Shabbir's performance throughout and finally Dhoni's 100 m six.

That match against Afg was played without 7 of India's starting 11. If Pakistan had the courage to play without 7 of their best players, they wouldn't have even qualified for the Asia Cup.

In terms of overall dominating performance in the tournament, it was India followed by Afghanistan.

Tbh Asia Cup had more flare when the Lankans were in good touch. If Lanka improves it can get better.

Tbh 2016 was better in recent memory

Imagine an asia cup consist of 8 teams, everyone banting each other. Great tournament would that be. The time is coming soon i think.

2014 was THE best as it had teams which were almost on the same level and hence was extremely competitive.
2016 and 2018 saw Sri Lanka and pakistan falling way behind and only India and Bangladesh looking like winning the cup.
