The hosting of the event in Pakistan was historical in itself considering Ronaldinho, Ryan Giggs, Roberto Carlos, Nicolas Anelka, Robert Pires, and David James are bigger names than most international cricket stars (if not all).
This event may go a long way in re-branding Pakistan's image and softening the stance of foreign cricket boards in sending their teams to Pakistan.
But, the topic of discussion here is whether the event was successfully hosted.
-There have been complaints about there being far too few tickets for the game, only around a thousand tickets for the game, which made the crowd look a lot smaller even though there was a great demand for tickets.
-The games were supposed to be 7 a side and free flowing but became 10 a side and too congested.
-The whole event was organised below standard, there was a two hour delay in the starting of the game.
-The roads outside the stadium, especially in Karachi, were completely blocked with people parking on the main roads.
-There was a wall of Rangers circling the outside of the stadium, which was necessary, but even inside the stadium there was a line of Rangers around the pitch.
What could be done to make such events better? Even with all these issues do you think the event was successfully hosted?
