I love Saeed Anwar and he will always be one of the greatest batsmen to have played the game, but hear me out; look at Zaheer Abbas' record. 7 hundreds in JUST 60 innings, an average of almost 48. Yes, FORTY EIGHT. But what is most unbelievable is that Strike-Rate of 85.
These numbers are ATG level numbers for anyone playing in any century but the mere fact that he did so brilliantly in the 70's and 80's, the era of bowlers dominating the game like none other with extremely long boundaries, bowler friendly rules and no DRS or anything like that. To have an SR of 85 largely playing your cricket away from home in England and Australia is ATG status for me.
His prowess in Tests is well known, the Asian Bradman, possibly the greatest Asian Test batsman but how good are those ODI numbers!
