if theres soo much fear even within you that if this goes too much public then something bad can happen.. then whats the use bro?
just imagine how nervous those players will be ..
just for the argument sake lets say they land in lahore .. do you think they can play it freely ? no way..
ask yourself is your country is safe enough for international players to play without any fear and enjoy their stay..
if yes then theres your answer.
i personally dont know whats the situation there .
but recently i heard its better than before ..many areas were such people use to stay are now free from these extremists.
i would love to see pakistan back to hosting international matches not only in cricket. but other sports activities as well.
and hope that indo pak relations improves too.

I don't get why players would sign up if they knew the final was in Lahore. If you don't want to make yourself available for the most important game of the tournament, don't sign up for the tournament.

More like he is telling them that Pakistan isn't as bad as what it's made to be. Notice how it says urge, not force.

Delport, Pakistan's coaching staff, etc. will have to play a large role in convincing others. Wasim's plea doesn't carry any weight.

sorry but its right they are trying to persuade them. these peaople are happy to travel to all sorts of weird places with vry very dodgy security but when being offered presidential level security they are shaking in their boots. Pakistan needs this badly and its about time the rest of the cricket world helps out..

Hey we are paying them money for this right? I don't see the harm in persuading them, its Wasim Akram a legend himself who is saying this, then there is some weight behind it claims. And if something bad doesn't happen every should go smoothly InshaAllah.. Otherwise plan B is always Dubai for the PSL final

Secondly if I remember correctly, during Musharraf's era, team used to visit Pakistan despite frequent bomb blasts in the country, situation was much worse than it is now.. but the players were provided PM/President level security, assurances were given and they had a very strict protocol... don't think anything will happen if the armed forces are giving you protection all the time

We need to create a peaceful atmosphere. By and large Lahore and Punjab are very safe so foreigners should not at all fear going there.
