I am still not convinced with the hitting ability of imad wasim , he is too inconsistent and injury prone .it is better to have to have someone like fahim ashraf instead of imad ??

Imad isn't really a batsman, he's a bowler who can slog quite well. But if you are relying on him for runs you might be disappointed, he can only hit balls which fall into his arc. Even coming in at number 7 is probably too much of an ask for him.

You could see the limitation of Hafeez and Immad in last 4/5 overs, they hit just one boundary in last 5 overs. 44th over was bowled by spinner, they whacked him but after that when main bowlers came, they could not hit boundary, socially Immad. Both are weak against pace.

We needed Fahim here, other batsman who could hit seamers in last 10 is UA. 8/10 times you will face seamers and that too qualify in last 10/12 overs against top team, you need good player of pace, right now Fahim and UA fits the billing, Fahim is better batsman and bowler than Immad. UA is another guy that can boost down order slogging if he is mentally ready, which is big if, but now he will feel the heat, more than ever.

But Immad must go now, Shahab is much better bowler and Fahim is much better batter, they both being lot of variety and depth in both department than Immad and Shahab.

Fahim Ashraf is the key. And as noted by many posters that Hafeez should end his career playing a final phase of number 5-6 batting. Umar Akmal needs to be utalized too. Even a quickfire 30 off 20 balls give impetus to the team at number 6-7

The main issues with Pakistan selection is that bench strength has not been tested against teams like Zimbabwe.

what do you mean by one more hitter down the order? Pakistan did not have even one hitter down the order in the team which played final.
