It's been a long time coming, in my opinion. We've usually been doing what SL have done to us this tour, but not before amplifying the deficiencies even further with poor selection and poor bowling/batting.

SL have been absolutely brilliant too. They've played the conditions perfectly and to their merits.

Pakistan on the other hand came to the party unprepared and looking looked like a side that hadn't played a Test for some time. SL played their hardest games only a few weeks back, with India touring them.

They didn't have any reason to be scared of the UAE/Dubai and a poor "home" side.

The only positive I can find from this series is maybe now we'll get the changes we've been looking for.

Maybe now is the time to drop one, or both openers.

Maybe now is the time to drop Shafiq.

Maybe now we'll realise Yasir Shah needs a spin partner at the other end, and preferably a left-armer.

It wont really mean much in the grand scheme of things but will lead to the axing of certain players and more heat on Mickey Arthur to get his tactics right and for Sarfaraz to lift his game. We got whitewashed by Bang in 2015 but won the CT in 2017

Nothing to "knock it off" about. It's about the current situation and how the selection, coaching and captaincy have been poor.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that in UAE you play two spinners. It's that simple

Especially considering we don't really have any ATG pacers in the side who we HAVE to play so it's mind boggling why you would go with just one spinner.

And to top it all off. You are making that one spinner bowl 50% of the overs. Why not just share the workload?

Braindead team management. And to top it off you make this mistake in the first match and lose as a result. But stubbornly you stick with this failed tactics for second match and pay again.

And then coming to Azhar Ali. Guy has been putting world class numbers as openers both home and away but you change his number again. In a one year period he has been #3, opener and then #3 again.

I really hope that the team management is held accountable

Since Arthur has become coach we have had arguably the two worst test teams asides from Bangladesh visit UAE (Certainly rankings say so). But we would have lost more game against these two sides in UAE then we would have won

The problems were apparent and I was pointing them out even before the retirements of Misbah and Younis. I have been pointing out the braindead tactics being employed by Mickey Arthur since the West Indies UAE series but PPers have been too blind to see. And now it has come to this.

In less than a year a #1 ranked side has been taken to almost #7. If we lose this we go BELOW Sri Lanka in the rankings

Depends how bad the pitch is spinning. Yes it's dusted-up in some areas but I didn't feel the ball was spinning that much for Herath and Perera. That could all change tomorrow and the last day though.
