"We plan to give same type of farewell to Shahid Afridi, Younis Khan, Misbah-ul-Haq" : Shahryar Khan

Shahryar Khan speaking to media today:

"Not only will give a good farewell/send off to Misbah, we will also think about how we can fit him (in this organization)"

"We plan to give the same type of farewell from cricket to Shahid Afridi, Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq"

"Our point of view is that the Big-3 concept should be ended"

"We should be compensated as we cannot play international cricket at home"

"The school's program is to prepare our junior kids for the future"

"The only regret I have is that these kids had to play in such hot weather but what can we do?"

"Since it is expensive to play outside Pakistan, then the ICC needs to compensate us for those expenses"

"We will speak to the Indian board about the fact that since they have refused to play against us three times, even though we are ready, we will have to take action against them"

Seemed a little irritated when asked about Afridi...stress level in voice was a little high....

Include them all in the Playing 11 for the CT ... what better way to go :jimmy

For one sec, I thought by Big 3 he meant Younis, Misbah and Afridi and was interested in the concept of ending their careers.

The legal matter between ICC and BCCI mentioned above.

this kind of thing should never happen ...

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan said on Thursday that although he has sent his resignation to Patron of the board Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, it has not been accepted at yet.

“The PM has read my resignation but he hasn’t accepted it,” Shaharyar told reporters after the final of the A.H Kardar Inter-school Cricket Champion*ships at the Gaddafi Stadium here on Thursday. “It could be because he has been busy in the Panama Papers case lately.

“Now that the Supreme Court has announced its verdict [on the Panama Papers case], he might take a decision but despite the outcome, I’ll be attending the ICC meetings till June this year as the Governing Board has given me the mandate to do so.”

The core issue in the ICC meetings is how to end the ‘Big Three’ formula, which saw India, Australia and England getting the lion’s share of the income of cricket’s world governing body.

However, amid opposition from several countries, a final decision in that regard will be taken during ICC’s meeting in Dubai on April 24.

“We [PCB] want it to end,” he said. “That’s been our stance from the beginning.”

Asked about the appointment of Har*oon Rasheed as PCB’s Director Cricket Operations, Shaharyar said the appointment was made on the “recommendation of a three-member committee”.

The committee was headed by the PCB chief with COO Subhan Ahmad and Human Resources Director Brig. Sajid being the other members.
