Actually yes, to stop fixing etc...A gentlemen's comment since he's leaving this year

The international players already get paid really well, it's the domestic cricketers that need a pay raise.

I disagree. Pakistan is a suffering country and these wages should be used to help those in need.

Look Misbah, it doesn't matter how much some Pakistani players are paid they will still get lured into corrupt activities such as spot-fixing.

Entertainment and sports have very little impact in the world.

The professionals of these industries should get payed less than other more-deserving professions(teachers, law enforcement, etc.).

Where will this pay raise come from when Sethi sahab spends Rs. 15 million on himself

i would like to know why pakistani players are so easy to lure into the disease called fixing there are other countries as well who pays much lesser to their players then pcb then why pakistan?
i personally feel fixing root in pakistan is much much deeper than just what comes out in media .
discarded players who have no possible future in cricket bookmakers

I believe everything should be state controlled, and the salaries for doctors, security personnels, teachers and judges must be the most. If one feels this is inequality, then all professions must be treated equally. Cricketers just run in a field, swing at a ball, throw a ball etc, and get almost more than 5 lakhs per month at least just for this, which I don't find less, its way more than the salaries of the junior doctors, engineers, security personnels, judges etc, and now Misbah wants their salaries must be increased even more, which is unacceptable.

Well said, but if some say this is inequality, then treat every profession equally.

Lol @ these mentalities. Being a successful cricketer is much harder than these other things, which is why so few % of cricketers make it. As it is, they are paid maybe 1/5th of what they ought to, and on top of that people want them to be paid less.

I'm always amazed at how quick people are to say that other people should be paid less. Let the market decide their value.

This is why our cricket is where it is. Talent gets paid royally and right down the chain our players are paid big money which is what is needed given how few players make it.

You can have your state control every single payment, and the watch as everyone with any amount of talent goes to the USA or England where they will be rewarded.

Agree with Saj here - no matter how much money we give them, the bad applies will continue to be greedy and look for dishonest ways to make even more money.

For some greed continues to grow as their income does.

Every profession must be treated equally.

Every profession cannot be treated or paid equally. It takes different amount of time and effort to acquire a skill and be good at it. So they should be paid accordingly. Also should let the free market determine the pay not some government worker/politician.

Talent and skill should be rewarded based on the level at which it is performed/done. Not paying everyone the same no matter what they do.

Dear Misbah,

I highly doubt that Sharjeel was short of money or lucrative deals and sponsorships. He also clearly had a Career pathway to greatness (if he worked hard)...

Sharjeel wasn't lacking much in terms of opportunities and reward.
