Comments from Misbah regarding the Pakistan squad:

"Very unfortunate for us that Haris Rauf's test keeps coming positive. We were waiting for him to join us but unfortunately it looks like we might not get a lot of time to do this.

"Keeping in view white ball cricket, we thought it's good to have an experienced bowler in the squad and he's now available. After consulting with the captain, we thought we should bring Amir here to strengthen our squad.

"Rohail has been with us, we tried to keep him with us as long as possible to keep a 29-man squad and also so that he can gain experience. Initially we brought him as a backup WK but we have Rizwan and Sarfaraz now. He has gained some experience. He will leave when Amir joins the squad.

"Shoaib Malik will join the squad later, he has a genuine reason because he's waiting to meet family. He will meet them after the 31st. We will try to make sure that he gets two weeks before the T20s so that he gets time to prepare before the T20s.

"When he joins then we'll see which player needs to be sent back because we can keep a 29-man squad.

"We have a big squad with a lot of fast-bowlers so it was difficult for one masseur. For that, we sent a request for another one to help out and he will be joining."

I think with this, it is all but clear that Amir is being flown in for T20's and won't be playing tests.
FOr a split second one thought he's coming back to red ball cricket but apparently not!

Why is PCB sweating too much for shoaib Malik's arrival. It is certain he will fail here as was shown in the last WC.
He is guaranteed to feature in the playing 11 for his experience and will take the place of Haider . With WT20 postponed, PCB should move on with younger players and ask malik stay wherever he is and not to join the team.

PCB are run by chamchas, then how on earth u will see Malik playing for 20 years and Hafeez playing for 16 years with such awful records. And also how Misbah without any experience will be able to fire an experienced coach with proven track record and come sit in his position and also take the selectors position. Goes around and coach a PSL team as well lol. Sums up how professional PCB is.
