Great bowling as always. Pathetic batting as always. Overachieved by reaching finals. Congratulations! The most deserving team won it all.

Rana Babar went out to spin bowler. What did Hales do against pace?
Even in the tri series against Pakistan he made one fifty full of lives and edges, andfailed in all innings. Rizwan and Babar failed in this tornament overall but will be back, but Babar needs to drop.
Congratulations to Pakistan, they did extra-ordinarily well to reach the Finals with the resources they have. Close losses like these can be used as a learning experience to get better in the future. It should be a springboard for the board and management.
Fans are being over-dramatic in here, which is to be expected (we are same, if not worse). There can be few changes which can make them stronger, Babar has to push himself down to 3 and have Haris/Fakhar at top to get some pace up front. Also, likes of Nawaz/Iftikhar have to be trusted a bit more with the ball when conditions are suited to as they were today. Folks in here should keep in mind that Pakistan had not won even a single T20 in Australia till the Netherlands match, to reach the Finals is a great achievement. I really enjoyed watching Pakistan play in this World Cup
It packs a punch but fails at critical junctures

It was a deserving final between two teams with similar beliefs. England believe they can chase down any score. Pakistan believe they can defend any target. And they almost did. English bowling came good in this game and I believe the game turned in Adil Rashid's spell.
Teams throwing kitchen sink to win should be the essence of T20 and no better teams to.display than the finalists. After getting beaten thrice, Butler's audacious scoop for six was a shocker. Pak's bowling from 10th to 15th was another shocker. Just fascinating to watch.

Anyways, we lost to a side against whom we gave a fight and dint lose by 10 wickets
We go home as runner ups, second best side in the tournament
Still losing a final with no cup. Its the silverware that will matter.. Always !!
Shaheen getting injured in the middle of the final was the turning point. He could have brought Pakistan back into the match. He wasn't fully fit during the whole world cup but still showed what he is capable of. What a bowler.![]()
There was bounce but no pace in wicket. Be thankful it wasn't a traditional MCG belter otherwise margin of result wouldn't have been close.
Our last 5 overs were pathetic, but ENG scored 10 more runs in the PP than us. Look at how Buttler responded after a few plays and misses - that encapsulates the difference between these two teams. Once again under pressure our openers reverted to type.
Please don't give me this unlucky excuse - you don't lose three T20 Cups through bad luck alone.
Our captain is a total bottler under pressure as a batsman and skipper. Consistently he makes the wrong calls in big games, and it hurts us time and again.
Maybe you and others here are content with hard luck stories but I'm not - we should've won one from 2021 T20 World Cup, Asia Cup and this T20 World Cup, but have ended up with nothing.
Still losing a final with no cup. Its the silverware that will matter.. Always !!
Got to admit, a fantastic bowling unit Pakistan has.
I thought Stokes was playing a match losing inning a bit like he played against Pakistan in championship trophy 2017,but one thing England had in its favour they was hard hitting batsmen all the way through to Curran , and Shaheen loss gave Stokes momentum to go after the bowlers.Only a combined India-Pakistan XI can beat this England team in finals and that too with a big condition that we get Stokes out early. He takes his time, faces 8-10 deliveries extra initially but if he gets set, you know he will finish the game.
