Can anyone say why Abdullah Shafique is not playing the shaheen games? Another Fawad Alam in making. Just curious

No idea. Poor guy was selected prematurely despite excellent talent, then made to sit on the bench against Zimbabwe for 5/6 games while missing 3 first class games (he only has one first class game ever). Then he was called up for new zealand, played in 2 T20Is and then dropped for the 3rd and not even played for Shaheens, has had his confidence shattered by the management in the space of one week.

Absolutely filthy. I suspect Misbah selected him in the first place to deflect media pressure, never really rated him to begin with. How can he rate him after all if Misbah doesn’t watch domestic cricket?

I absolutely agree with you. I wish he is given the same rope of chances as Haider Ali. I find him to be technically better than Haider also pleasant to watch. Don’t know why but some of his shots reminds me of Rohit Sharma
