West Indies [173/2] beat India [170/7] by 8 wickets in the 2nd T20I to level series 1-1

For all the hoopla around IPL, Indian cricket looks bad in T20s. Weak teams like Bangladesh and West Indies are able to defeat them easily without their main players.

Look at how clean Pooran hits the ball and compare that with Pant. :inti
Yeh was curious about pant and wanted him to be something like butler of india but so far he has disappointed so far...
Puran is a talented player among average team..if he was in a team like ind,aus or eng he would have been recognised way better than he has been

Goes to show how important bumrah is and how he creates pressure so the likes off bhuvi chahal bowl alot tighter with him in the team. Keeps one end tight so more pressure for batsmen to try over hit from other side. Last two matches Indian bowling has looked the classic old 90s Indian bowling. Bumrah is a beast.

West Indies just blasted Indian bowling attack. Not a single bowler looked like picking up a wicket. Where are the so called fast bowlers who India has developed in recent years?

Is this the first time you see bowlers getting smacked in T20 that too by windies batsmen?

I would have been surprised if that was the case but India's been smacked by a few teams recently in t20is. South Africa, Aus, Windies and they've had some close matches with Bangladesh too

Any team can beat any team in T20. That is the beauty of the format. Just one spell or couple of cameos can win you the game. You just need a few six hitters.

Windies? how they lost 6 games in a row and won one. that is called smacking? BD has won 1 match against India in their entire T20 history. That is called smacking? That too without guys like Bumrah, Pandya who are the only two T20 specialists besides Rohit sharma, KL Rahul.

Worst fielding from Indians minus Kohli.

Suddenly fielding turning to be pathetic.

Indian catching was one of the reason too for this situation. Last match 3 drops in a row. This match 2 drops in a row

Haha parosis suddenly woke up now that india has lost the match...uff choti choti khusiya

This.

Also Chahal bowls well in tandem with Kuldeep, don't know why he's warming the bench.

At home you're supposed to dominate like Pakistan did in 2018.

Had india lost by 1 run that would be called "got smacked" as well.
Then again that is PP for you

Losing by 9 wickets against SA
Losing 2-0 at home against AUS
Losing by 8 wickets here

Is the definition of getting smacked

And this is where IPL has flopped big time. Its been more than 10 years how many big hitters IPL has given to India? IPL fans talk about how IPL is better than bilaterals etc so why can't these players perform in bilaterals? :inti

Don't Indians know the conditions themselves then? :virat

Come on don't go over board. You are almost treating Windies as some minnow team. They are designed for this format. You should be shocked when they don't do well in this format. not the other way around. They can do this to any side.

Still dominated from 2016-2018.
We're still no.1 in the rankings despite winning only 1 match in 2019.
This just shows how much we dominated the T20i format.
Such downfalls happen. We had Ahmad Shahzad and Umar Akmal in our squad lol.

India A team ranked 5th in t20s
Yes they did lose a series against NZ and aus but thats about it.

Smacked against SA? Series tied..try again..
Smacked against Wi? Whitewashed them at thier home and mostl likely gonna win this series 2-1
And mind you india doesnt boast of #1 title in t20 and you call #5 team got smacked

You know whats real smacking?Yes actual team thats on#1 spot.
-smacked by SA...
-smacked by Eng
-Smacked and Smacked bigtime by SL ( whitewashed)
-smacked by Aus

So well you know who was smacked and who wasnt

No you didn't dominate. You are the only one team who played with full team all the time. Others were just chopping and changing giving chances to utter noobs. No other team took international T20 seriously. They rarely played their full strength side.

Then why literally smacked by minnows at home

Yes West Indies!!! Lendl Simmons loves playing India in big games doesn't he!

Look up our t20i record from 2016-18 and then talk.

Beat NZ in NZ 2-1 when they were no.1
Beat NZ in the UAE 3-0
Beat AUS in the UAE 3-0
Beat AUS in Zim to win the tri series
Beat England in Eng in 2016 by 8 wickets

Every team has their ups and downs. No biggie.
But remind me when was the last time you were no.1 in the t20i rankings

As we all know, results in these T20 bilaterals are not to be taken seriously. Only focus should be on finding the right players by trying out different combinations and get a clear gameplan USP.

Sundar shouldn't be in the team for his atrocious fielding. Jadeja is and has been an awful T20 bowler. Kuldeep did nothing wrong to be dropped. Even if he was, he should have replaced by someone like Rahul Chahar or Shreyas Gopal. We lack power hitters in the lower middle order. It'd be better when Pandya comes back but still won't be enough to finish off strong. And the biggest worry is Bhuvi's death overs bowling. Hope he regains his form.

Pakistan's win loss ratio against India is 0.1666. That is pretty abysmal. Only team against which India's win/loss ratio is below 1 is new zealand. Against the rest it is over 1. This is despite India for the majority not taking T20s seriously enough in bilaterals.

Lol talk about pick and play.

Who got smacked who didnt depends on how you fare in present.why talk about past records?every team has had thier days so by that defination no ones ever got smacked..

Its just as simple as that..the most recent 5 series a team played
And a #5 team fared hell lot better than #1 team so if in your defination #5 team is getting smashed while having superior present record what would you call #1 team?

Btw does he even remember which team smacked them in Wt20 final just when they were about to win..that is if he was talking about t20s

KingT should have stopped commenting on about India and left lol He unnecessarily dragged Pakistan into it and getting owned. A totally random period of supposedly "home domination". It is really laughable . We will see how the supposedly "world no.1 team" does in the world t20.

You can't chat either lol

Are you saying the team that played against India sucked? and this is somehow better? So Pakistan is a good side only for 2 years in the 12 year old t20 history? That too with flimsy evidence

Oh they are not even going to make it to semis..just like 2016 where they won grand total of 1 match

Sorry but thats a stupid excuse and it doesn't surprise me that its coming from you.

Even after losing this game you will see some fans saying the same thing you just said. If Kohli, Rohit and Pant are representing India in a T20 match then that means India is taking it seriously. :inti

Where did you get only 2 years from?
We won the 2009 WC, were the finalists in 2007, made it to the semis in 2010 and would have played the final if Ajmal hadn't messed it up and played some good t20i cricket in 2012-14

Not an excuse. T20 belongs to leagues. Not internationals. This is where they experiment teams. Players skip games. Not just INdia. All the countries. Nobody sweats over T20 losses unless it is world T20. Frankly they should stop playing international T20.

I am not assuming
You are the one assuming and saying "still dominating" even after screwed by 2 tier lanka team
Hallucination

This is why I said you need some English comprehension lessons.

I said "This just shows how much we dominated the T20i format."

Dominated is a past term. PAST. It HAPPENED.

I never said we are still dominating.
Why are you lying?

You've lost against the windies by 8 wickets today. Sit down lol

clutching at straws lol cutting and pasting the same line. You got blanked by Srilanka and your own fans made fun of the ranking farce in T20. Quit while you are only slightly behind. India is losing one game after 6 consecutive wins against Windies. seriously i rate WI 10 times more a threat than Pakistan in T20. You beat a West Indies D team in Pakistan as many didn't tour. In true pitches Windies will massacre Pakistan bowling

The T20 world cup is only a year away.
You'll see how Pakisan will thrash the Windies.

Doubt India will make it to the final 4 so can't say anything about them.
Others probably the same as the West Indies

Only 2 teams that has worse T20 record in Australia/NZ than Pakistan is Windies/Bangladesh. Would have been worse but for the rained out match. Even though India is blessed with top players i am realistic about India's chances due to some inadequacies. But you seem to be over-confident.

I'd say I'm optimistic rather than over confident.
Sharjeel is going to be back which is one of the reasons why I'm optimistic

Thread about India v West Indies. Stick to topic please.

Sunday , was perfect time watch the game, which I did, some of the young WI players coming out are quite good. Don;t know about the test but by next 50 Overs world cup they should have a very good team. Need a good captain also, like Pollard.

Great win by WI, congrats. Followed the scores on my mobile, missed some special hitting.

They either collapse like a deck of cards or everyone starts firing.

New thought process in town if someone says dominated without any context it could mean any time during history lol.

England dominated , like when 1948?

I understand Kohli is tinkering and trying some combinations ahead of the world cup but it'll be suicide if Kohli does not have Kuldeep and Chahal as his two spinners at the World Cup. He's trying to find bowlers who can bat a bit which is completely the wrong strategy. Specialists win matches. Washington, Dube are average players. He should not seriously be looking at them for the World Cup.
