Fast bowling in Test match cricket is not an easy job especially when Pakistan’s bowlers are also playing other formats and leagues.

Therefore, this begs the question, with Rauf and Shaheen injured, who are our options?

Please do not let it be Abbas or Mohammad Ali. Both these guys epitomise mediocrity. On these dead wickets, dibbly dobbly 125 KPH will have no effect.

I am a fan of having Faheem Ashraf in the team but he is no frontline pacer by any stretch of the imagination.

Hasan Ali? Musa Khan? Dahani?

Whatever happened to Mir Hamza? I’m not updated on his career, but his name was being yelled at from every corner on here just a few years ago

M Ali isnt 125k. He bowled upto high 130s this game which is decent pace and it makes no sense to discard any seamer after an outing on this road

English seamers for eg. got 2 wickets in total @ 62 avg, same as Ali.

First I'm seeing of Ali. He's a dobbler without the movement...how is he ahead of Hasan Ali?!

He's definitely not made for these pitches. He isn't nippy and you will see his pace drop into the 120s as the innings progresses.

No bowler is made for these pitches. It's a tampered garbage highway.

Well I saw the 1st innings and he doesn't drop to 120s. He's in 133-138 km range.

Well, he certainly has looked a bit better in this innings. If he can maintain a 135-138 average, he will be fine provided he swings it.

Yeah. I recall he was given a game or two and discarded shortly afterwards. He had good height which could be useful but he lacked pace.
