Like to start a new discussion for those gamers here.

Mine are:

1. Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

2. Xenoblade Chronicles

3. Terraria

Some honourable mentions are Super Paper Mario, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Pokemon Platinum.

What about you guys?

Difficult to say really, have gamed for about 20 years and there were quite a few epics on the way.

Surprised you haven't got a single FPS or or Strategy game in yout list. Something different.

I ABSOLUTELY hate FPS games lol! I always get destroyed in them. Prefer RPGs with a good story, characters and fun battle system that's single player. Just more relaxing and gets me more attached.

Also like exploring in games, so that's why Terraria, Mario Galaxy 2 are there are as well.

As for strategy, not as against those games, but I am not great at them either and don't want to think too in-depth for them.

Would say I like RPGs the most. I've been gaming for around 12 years now.

Too tough to answer. I've been playing video games since 1980!

For me there are 3 generations of gaming.

1. Arcade
2. Home computers (from 8 bit to PCs)
3. Consoles

I couldn't list a top 3, for example, the top 10 in Amiga games alone would rip most of the recycled crap today and would provide far more entertainment and gameplay.

Though in terms of AAA it's easier for me as I'm more old skool gamer (Shmups, platformers etc). So here are my top 3 AAA titles:

RDR2
Assassins Creed
Horizon Zero Dawn

Assassin's Creed: Black Flag.
Red Dead Redemption 2.
Assassin's Creed: Unity.

Unity was so underrated. I enjoyed it, especially the perfect scaled arcitecture. I never had issues with the bugs because I was playing on a day 1 release PS3 hardware. Way before the PS3 slim was released!

Unity was awesome. I loved the designs of the buildings. Climbing up those buildings were really fun.

Also, missions were pretty good.

Very underrated.

Only downside for me was I had to open EVERY chest in the game for the Platinum.

BTW if you liked Age of Empires you should DEFINITELY give total war a chance

My recommendation is Total war Attila, Total war Empire and total war shogunate

GoldenEye 007

Sonic the Hedgehog / Streets of Rage

Wrestlemania 2000 / Age of Empires 2

lol I played em when i was a kid and haven't played anything recently except ubisoft civilization... which is similar to Age of empires as well..

I'll give Total war a chance, I was always interested in Japanese history due to animes, Meiji restoration being something of an amazing revolution story in Asia, that actually lead to development..

GoldenEye 007

Sonic the Hedgehog / Streets of Rage

Wrestlemania 2000 / Age of Empires 2

Top 3 is probably too hard to say, however I would agree with Goldeneye. Used to spend hours at a time on that legendary game.

I'm not too big on video games so haven't played a lot of them

1. Medal of honor - Allied Assault (the multiplayer only)
2. Super Mario / Jungle book (2D games from the previous generations)
3. Stronghold

Elite - BBC B
Death Race - ZX Spectrum
Pole Position - Atari

1. Call of Duty: Warzone

My all-time favourite game is Call of Duty: Warzone. I don't think I've ever put hours into a game like I have with this gem of a game. It was released when lockdown began, so I guess that helped the soaring popularity from the outset. I like my shooters and also play competitively. Currently ranked top 15% for wins in the game.

Modern Warfare 2 was a better multiplayer, simply because it well ahead of its time.

2. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

I love all the GTA games from GTA 3 but I chose Vice City because I love the Miami scenery and storyline the most in this series.

3. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

This is the best story I've ever come across in a campaign game. The boss fights were amazing and there is no better example you'll find when it comes to showcasing a grandstand finish.

Honourable Mention - Half-Life Series

This is perhaps the best FPS series ever when you consider graphics, game physics and overall game play. It's been 15-16 years since Half Life 2 was released, so sadly I don't think there will be another major instalment of this series. For those who have a gaming PC but haven't played the Half Life series, you won't be disappointed because its still standing strong. The visuals still look great.

Some real gems since I made this list - Tales of Berseria, Persona 4 Golden were really good

I am not much of a gamer anymore at all — not really an activity that is compatible with busy family life — but back in the 90s and early 00s I used to love it.

I find it really difficult to narrow it down but these are probably my favourite games / “series” of games:

Metal Gear Solid 1-5

Final Fantasy 4-10

Resident Evil 1-4

Medal of Honor / Underground / Frontline

GoldenEye 007

Command & Conquer / Red Alert (2)

Tekken 3 / Street Fighter 2

Pokémon Blue-Red / Yellow

Grand Theft Auto 3 / Vice City

As an overall package, the original Metal Gear Solid in my humble opinion is the best video game ever made.
