Simple question for those who live in Pakistan or travel there, what do you love/hate most about the country of Pakistan?

Hate the fact that so many poor roaming on the streets either begging or selling stuff. My heart goes specially to the kids.

Love the fact that people are welcoming and there are so many mosques, when its namaz time you can hear azaan everywhere.

Hate - Under achievement in all levels of society.

Like - People are authentic, artistic and fearless.

Like:-

- Azaan
- Mosques nearby
- A sense of belonging
- More freedom to do whatever you want
- Street cricket with strangers

Dislike:-

- Staring
- Too many thieves
- Traffic
- Car horns (especially the buses)
- Crap water drainage in streets (pun intended)
- Too many street dogs
- and worst of all, DOOD SODA.

Love the weddings, colour and culture. Hate the poverty and over religious people shoving their oppressive views down your throat.

Hate the fact that I would be risking my life just by stating my beliefs.
Love that I can start a game of cricket with anyone, anywhere.

Love

I ain’t religious but hearing the Azaanis actusly really nice.
Street cricket is amazing with locals.

Hate

Lack of rights and support for minorities and backwards mentality.

Love - Food and playing gully cricket.

Hate - Men staring at girls like rapists and the smell on the streets

I hate the constant staring you get when in cars from other people on the road or cars! So unnerving.

Their so much you can love and hate about any place but I'll try to stick to one thing if I can.

Hate: I hate the mentality of people talking out of their butt , I own this and I do that and always trying to show others that you have this and that when clearly it's not the reality overseas Pakistanis do it too. They also don't like if someone is doing well, if you want your country to progress you have enjoy your countrymen a success and ask yourself how you can achieve it rather than being jealous. This is the one thing I really hate about Pakistan

Love: despite all the bad you can say about Pakistan their seems to be this magical vibe in the air when your their I can't explain it but their something thier something like magic it's really special

Like chilling with relatives and visiting different places. The fact you don't need to worry if foods/eateries are going to be halal or haraam.

Don't like the traffic and congestion in the inner city places.

Like- some of the scenery is enthralling and breath takin
People you meet are very friendly

Dislike- lots of flies, people trying to flog socks when you’re out shopping

Like - the people (their hospitality, resilience, never-say-die attitude, constant optimism and the belief in the Higher Power)

Dislike - the people (lack of discipline, lack of education, lack of empathy, looking to cut corners, uncourteous towards each other)

Castiesm or what they call "biraderiism" is something I don't like, when you're there you realize Pakistan is like divided into millions of different communities with each preferring their own/putting down others. It's this nepotism that's holding back everybody.

I also hate how your "biraderi" plays a big role in who you marry, like you can't marry a girl from a socalled "superior community". Fortunately I grew up in America and I think most American-born Pakistanis don't care about that stuff.
