And after having some success against two minnow teams in pool games (on a spin friendly uae ground--mind you), his head is so high up in the sky already. Can someone read me his bowling figures? 10 overs for 46 runs does not warrant any of those arrogant and disrespectful sendoffs, nor getting smashed by our two tailenders.
If that hasn't already taken him down the peg, the game against India eventually will.

And Saeed Ajmal used to the EXACT same thing, but just because it is hypocrisy doesn't we can't make judgements. If an action deserves criticism then it should be criticized.

Thats why he usually bowls half of his overs at the end of innings like Ajmal and get important wickets. In the first five overs he usually nips one too.

Not unplayable but certainly one of the best loi bowler going around.

Rashid has a lot to prove. You don't become a great by taking 3 wickets on spin friendly wicket. Many Pakistani spinners have come and gone performing against minnows and on friendly pitches yet today no one even mentions their names. What can he do in Australian, English or South African conditions. Pakistan is a little down in confidence right now and that gave him the opportunity to put some pressure on them.

Couple of things about Rashid ( i saw him bowl for the first time):

- He does not look 19 years old. Please. I mean he doesnt look 30 either but he must be around 22/23.

- Players gave him too much respect. He is good, dont get me wrong but our players played him too carefully.

- He knows he is the super star of the team. He is very confident of himself, great self belief. He is mentioned whenever Afghanistan cricket is discussed, he got an IPL contract. He knows he is the man, indians love him and all cameras are on and therefore you can expect shome showbazi from him.

- I dont mind the showbazi, adds flavour to the game. Got no issues with his send offs because they get answered well when the said bowler gets smashed for sixes. So, its all fair in the end.

I have not seen anyone consistently picking him. May be on absolute docile surfaces with zero turn or grip. He bowls both legbreak and googly with identical action. This is why he is very hard to pick. You can slam his full balls once in a while. But when he shortens his length not many can do anything against him. Just give credit where it is due. If there is one Asian player i would want in the Indian side that would be Rashid hands down. Good fielder, decent slogger, gun bowler. Amazing winning attitude.
