There is barely any need for a coach in the modern game.

Onus should be on the captain to do 90% of what most head coaches are expected to do such as the strategies used, brand of cricket played and overall direction of the team.

The only coaching positions that should be relevant are batting, bowling and fielding coaches whose job it should be to develop the technical aspects of each respective players game.

This is how many “all knowing mama jees” act in Pakistan - starting with Rameez and Misbah and Waqar etc. Nothing else but they only talk philosophies.

You will never admit but T20WC campaign was already prepared by Misbah. The new coaching staff happened to reap benefits of his work. All they did was follow the template set by Misbah.

If Hayden had any effect, we would've won against Australia.

He made lots of mistake by persisting with out of form Hasan Ali instead of Nawaz. We were lucky to win against India who had a bad day and Saqlain was praised

Rambo has this idea of Captain leading the decision making and coach playing second fiddle.

Saqlain is clearly allowing Babar to make all the important decisions, like he did in WT20 when Babar was so passionate about playing Hasan Ali in press conferences and got his way.

Here again Babar was so defensive of first test wicket and even called draw against Australia a good result. Its clear both Babar and Ramiz are making more decisions than Saqlain, who's happy to be a bystander
