When we do a simple google search on dumbness we get the following result:

894b6e9688520624c40a71d839c070a0.jpg

As you can see the definition is pretty clear. Now if you look at it you may realise that all of us have a certain level of dumbness. For example we may choose to remain silent on certain issues, make a stupid judgement on a certain matter or do not use our power of speech when most needed.

My view is that there are three types of people in this world:
1) the intelligent dumb (they are happy to correct themselves when explained properly)
2) the semi intelligent dumb (they will partially correct themselves or only choose to listen on certain topics)
3) the severe dumb

I could perhaps write endless on this subject but my purpose of this thread is to highlight that the main issue in this world are the severe dumb as they are a danger to humanity. I am also specially referring to our region Indo-Pak since the majority of posters belong to this region.

I also have concerns on how to correct the severe dumb because we may potentially have 0.5 billion of them in our region. Is there any hope?

PS: please do not get personal.

How do you rate yourself? gazza619

Perhaps that will start the conversation rolling.

Let me say that I am 2 as per your definition (my children say that to me :D)

We have examples of Academic Dumbs becoming successful businessmen. And Successful businessmen being dumb socially. Gross generalization is unfair.
Anyone who assumes informations from others as his conclusions will behave like a dumb wrt that particular thing/event.

Lol, i dont want to be dumb (by calling myself a clever dumb) because then i would also be ignorant..

I think most of us here are number 2 :D

Fair point, though I feel gross generalisation may still suitable when you refer to the severe dumb. We only need to scroll through the news and see what people in our neck of woods are doing or following.

Religion plays a big part in this part and you would see that people are doing acts (religiously) that people of the same religion are fining it shocking to see. I dont know how it will change though as these people are in staggering numbers...

I just personally think no one's dumb everyone has something to offer in some ways it's different but it's thier

Thats why I tried to define it in last sentence of my post.
Dumbness is the failure to process informations before making your own conclusions. Dumbness is to accept informations (given by any source) as conclusions for you.

This is a dumb post. Because a person isn't a consistent dumb or consistent intelligent.

In one moment, he can be clever as fox or at other moment, he can be dumber than this post.

One has to police every action of every people and then just at the moment when they are at the verge of making a mistake, the policing will have to prohibit them.

In summary, that's a dumb idea.

Dumbness is subjective.

To a secular person, religious people may seem dumb. To a religious person, secular people may seem dumb.
