Are you a fan of the modern turbocharged phenomena or a practitioner of the naturally aspirated engine?

Prefer the big bulky cars of today or more streamlined/lightweight geometry of yesteryear?

What’s your all time favourite, could be a super car or practical daily?

The tech, safety and reliability of cars now is top notch. Having carplay et al is nice and handy to, comfort is pretty decent. Perhaps the actual driving engagement may lack some impetus though potentially, but this also comes down to preference

I like a reliable car (one that doesn't break down much).

I like SUVs the most but I currently drive a Honda Civic 2016.

The BMW E30 has fascinated me the most, such a beautiful chassis and with a silky smooth straight 6; it truly must have been the ultimate driving machine. I think that era was BMW’s peak, ever since, not sure if they’ve achieved the same notoriety

Beautiful SUV that, what do you think of the Land Rover defender? which appears to have inspired the G wagon design

Land Rover Defender is a great lower cost option which excels more than the G Wagon in certain aspects. It's more aerodynamic which is better for fuel efficiency and some say it's a better drive on-road.

However, I prefer the G Wagon because it's unrivalled when it comes to comfort.

Tough question. I am a JDM fan overall who still thinks BMW M3 03 was one of the greatest cars of all time.

Currently my favorite car is the Nissan Skyline R34. It JUST became street legal in US.

But the car closest to my heart is…

The 1999-2000 Honda Civic. Holds a sentimental value, and is still a sleeper build. My grandfather was buying this car back in 2000 and was very invested in it, he let me choose the exterior/interior colors etc. But it never transpired. Since then that has been like the WC streak for me to break and In Sha Allah I want to get the 2022 Civic soon which IMO is the best Civic by far since the cult hero late 90s edition.

Real ones know about the legend of a late 90s civic with a laptop inside. Slayer of many a racers.

Also the OG early 2000s Gallant. What a beauty. Only the Asian exclusive edition. Euro and US editions lacked the charm due to different front bumpers.

Car culture peaked for me in the 2000s… Need for Speed played a big part in it too :asif

2008 Tiburon is also one of the most underrated cars of that era. Few years before most companies went all in to the crossover hype.

The E46 is a legendary car no doubt! and you can get it without paying silly money. Ah the naughties skyline was my PC wallpaper for so long, how come it wasn’t road legal 🤔

Ah you have to get in the Civic then! I’d go for the OG one! but older cars you need to give some TLC regularly , not seen the new one but would have thought the OG one was untouchable

Haha the skyline fandom started for me from NOS Underground and them mods on it 🔥🔥

Lexus and Merc's SUVs are really nice, especially their high end tech functions.
I really like Merc's GLC bounce option

GLC is decent, the GLB is such a money grab, I had it as a courtesy and it was so cramped.

If not the Civic then I’ll go for the 2000 Accord Coupe…

Look at this beauty. Just some very basic mods and it can fit in in any era including this one.

Pic doesn’t show the taillights but their design was way ahead of its time too.

Nah they haven’t. They have low plastic under the hood now too… “planned obsolescence” as it’s called. The stuff up until the 2000s were built to last a while.

Beautiful car though and a true icon.

convertables for me, i like the wind in my face and i like to subject the people around me to my bad music taste :)

I really like Merceedes GLA and planning to get one next year

Has to be the Toyota Alphard.

It looks like the most comfortable car to be sat in, not necessarily drive.

Does anyone here drive a Tesla? How do you find the drive? I'm looking into getting one to save on fuel costs but not sure I like the feel of the regenerative brakes

Regenerative brakes are awesome once you get used to it, much easier on the feet.
It takes just 1 day to get used to it, you can change so much in tesla based on preference it’s remarkable, I drove it only for a week but every car seemed meh after that.
I drove in North America , can’t speak about Europe.

Thanks -- Yes, that's what many people say, that it's a great drive. I'll try and test drive it again and see how it goes

What did you make of the legendary CRX?

What did folk make of the bigger BMW grill, I didn't like it at first, but in the new M3 touring I feel it's spot on; the size of it is sort of proportional to the wider body and it doesn't look out of place as much:

This car very much made to some extent for the enthusiast, they've been waiting for an M3 touring forever!

Pakistan approves used car imports at a steep price

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet on Wednesday approved the commercial import of used vehicles up to five years old, subject to environmental and safety standards, while imposing an additional 40 percent Regulatory Duty (RD) until June 30, 2026.

The decision was made during a meeting of the ECC, chaired virtually by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance.

Under the revised policy, the government will amend the Import Policy Order 2022 to allow the commercial import of used vehicles. However, initially, only cars not older than five years will be permitted until 30th June 2026, after which the vehicle age limit will be lifted.

The ECC further directed that such commercial importation would remain subject to strict compliance with prescribed environmental and safety standards.

The Committee also approved the imposition of 40 percent Regulatory Duty (RD), in addition to the existing customs duties, on the commercial import of used vehicles.

Maruti 800, Santro .. cars i desired deeply as a kid but family couldn’t afford, have no interest as such anymore , driven most but nothing gives happiness, awe yeah- Tesla, Bmw, Waymo(passenger)

I loved Land Cruiser 200 series. That’s my fav car. I also love Honda civic.

Currently I’d go for a lx600, a capstone tundra and a capstone sequoia.

My fav sports cars would be P1 and Aventador.

My dream car is Aston Martin (cant afford)

My fav car is Range Rover (prob can afford in future)

My current car - Toyot yaris hybrid

Current gen Yaris actually looks really good.

Gone are the days when Japanese brands looked like cheap budget commuters. All 3 major brands now have that air of luxury and race car vibes even in the compact cars. 2025 GR Yaris and GR Corolla have the ability to be used as casual track cars and have some decent performance ability, esp Yaris got a much needed aesthetic upgrade from last 2 decades

1985 Kawasaki GPZ900R

This Afghan brother bought it used from the Auction and I rode it, fastest thing I have ever ridden and quickest acceleration.

This thing was dead scary without a Helmet! With the Helmet & Jacket, I did around 110mph (177 Kph) but it stuck to the Road like glue, no issues when the Highway curved or anything.

I chickened out at 110mph (177 Kph) otherwise it could have gone faster

As a kid i used to believe in the concept of a "dream car" but now i don't think i have one in my mind. People assume having endless cash reserves and what would they get with that money. But just as billionaire a truly wealthy individual wouldn't just have 1 great car in his garage, he would have a collection of those apart from a private jet and a luxury yacht.

First Car with my own Money

2-Seater and it was quick because I upgraded the Carburetor and I used to spend 500 hours cleaning and waxing it!

The Sierra is regarded as a legendary car now, you were lucky to own it! It led to the homologation special as well with the RS Cosworth. I went to a body shop recently & the owner was in the process of restoring one, it has such presence.

My favourite form factor is full-size trucks and am interested in overland builds. I also have a preference for Toyota over American (Ram, F-150, Escalade, Tahoe).

Considering these factors my current dream car trio would be built LX600, Sequoia and Tundra.

I'm going to go on a rant here.

Here in the UK we have seen a seismic shift from the traditional family saloon to these hideous crossovers.

For example Honda are no longer selling the Accord in the UK and people are going to get the HR-V or CR-V. I can understand getting the CR-V if you need the extra space but the HR-V? If people want more space than what a traditional saloon offer then surely an estate makes sense.

Fed up with how many of these ugly bland crossovers such.

Examples of these hideous cars include the VW Tiguan/T-Roc, Nissan Qashqai, Hyundai Kona, Kia Sportage, Audi Q3, Toyota C-HR, Skoda Kamiq etc etc etc.

Why would you get an ugly Tiguan when you could get a Passat or Passat estate? Why would you get an Audi Q3 when you could get an A4/A6 or their estate equivalents?

But on topic:
Best looking car that I can't afford - either the McLaren P1 or the Aston Martin DB9.
Best looking car that I can afford - E Class AMG
Best looking car full stop - Maybach Vision Concept

We (my brother basically) prepared this truck (not full-size) back in the past and also raced it in different rallies across Pakistan.

Agreed.

Mitsubishi as a car brand sadly committed suicide by killing off the Lancer which took Mitsubishi to #1 for years in terms of rally racing, and instead they went all into crossovers.

Accord removed from UK is a shock to me- had no idea. That’s insane.

Best looking “dream” car for me has to be McLaren F1, 90s NSX, timeless designs. McLaren having that driver seat in the middle is such a cool concept. Must feel like driving a space ship. That design was far ahead of its time too.

to not come off as total nostalgia guy I really liked Lexus LFA- best sounding engine, and am looking forward to the 2027 LFR which is going to be its successor.

Another dream car to the list for me:

Its a very subjective question.

I would say best looking car exterior wise is either SLR McLaren or in modern BMW i8.

Interior wise - I would always go for my benz W212. The classy interior is just from top draw of designs.

Utility vehicles - Civic FC or Elantra 2025.

Wow!

They killed the Lancer Evo? :sangry

I hope they don't kill Subaru WRX!

Used to love muscle cars before but now it's all about having fun. 150-200 hp minis is what I will always take out for the joy of driving.
