What now for Shan Masood?

Big game for Shan Masood tonight in PSL, at no.4 supposedly he's playing the De Villiers role in middle order. Surprisingly the thick tank of @Rana is silent on him.
 
end of the road for Shan in PSLs I think. Unless there are 8 teams next year, then he might have a chance

If Peshawar and Multan also cut the deadwood than maybe the PSL could stake a calm to being the 2nd best T20 league

Currently with the two stat padders captaining both teams the PSL with remain a 4th tier league
 
Shan's time is over in t20s. Maybe PCB can help him stay relevant by increasing the number of teams so he can find a place in a new franchise as the captain. Until then, him being benched or not getting selected is the right thing to do.

Shan Masood played a crucial knock for QG today after the brisk start provided by Seifert and Vince. His 9 in 17 at SR 52 ensured QG remained in hunt and they pounced on it.
Wonder what reason @Rana will come up with

They dont understand the concept of being neutral fans nor do they understand the concept of different formats.

For example

A) Talking about Kohli in a slightly negative light in test cricket automatically means you are a Kohli hater despite admiring him in odi and t20? (Devad)

B) Praising Steve Smith as a Goat Test batter automatically means you're a Smith fan boy, love him style of odi and t20 batting and are a fan of cheaters (devad)

C) Pointing out that Shan upon test captaincy has been ahead of Babar in test based of numbers, statistics, no of centuries scored and strike rate automatically means that we love Shan and advocate for him to be the next gen opener in whiteball for Pakistan? (Kianig, Gazza)

D) Claiming Agha > Rizwan as a batsmen and captain means we have a secret agenda against rizzu and are fans of Kachara (Kianig, Gazza, Devad)

E) Claiming Chanderpaul > Misbah > Rizwan as a batsmen mean that we love supporting nobodies like chanderpaul but hate supporting superstar batters like Misbah and rizwan (Kianig, Gazza, Devad)

F) Supporting attacking cricketers like Saim and haris means that we love kachara and how dare we not acknowledged that babar gave birth to saim ayub (Kianig, Van Goh, Gazza)

These people don't understand the concept of treating each game as it comes.

SO KK selected shan once again and they lose the game just because Shan is pathetic.... No sure why this guy keep getting selected again and again... Parchi system needs to go now... KK was doing fine job without him.
 
Is he playing County season then why not take sabbatical from PSL and focus on County after all he is Pakistan's Test Captain. Whats the best advice to elongate Shan's career @Rana

End of the road for Shan Masood, Pakistan finished bottom in WTC , Shan overall Test career is also mediocre. PCB looking to Start afresh and understandably so
 
Lack of Test cricket is another reason why Pakistan struggle in Red ball we have 8-9 months only to play a 2 Test rubber with no preparation ,lack of resources is another factor.
 
Shan Masood scored a stylish 45 off 35 balls, helped Leicestershire secure a five-wicket win over Derbyshire.
 
The worst batsman to ever play a decent number of matches for Pakistan. The fact that he has survived for 12 years in international cricket says everything about the nepotism in Pakistan cricket.
 
If Shan can be the captain with such pathetic numbers, then anyone can....
 
Shan Masood was dismissed for just 3 runs, caught by Vasconcelos off Sanderson, as Leicestershire crumbled to 16 for 4 in the third over against Northamptonshire in the Vitality Blast.
 
Many years ago when Babar was scoring for fun, I posted here that Saud is mentally tougher than Babar and a better candidate for captaincy (I wanted him to open in place of Imam and lead in ODIs and Tests).

Now Saud is a better option than Shan but if Salman finds success in LOIs, then that will put Saud under pressure considering that we are playing so little Test cricket in future.

It will most probably be Salman as an all-format captain and I think it is not a bad choice atm... Salman is enjoying his form and he is also looking like an active captain so far... Shan was never a good player to be even in playing 11 and here we have made him test captain....LOL

The excuse some people gave here was "He is a good English speaker".
