What's new

What phone do you own currently?

S7 since 2.5 years.

Camera is horrible compared to most of what's available now, specially in low light situations. 32GB storage is an issue... Battery is a bit weaker than it used to be, just about lasts a day with moderate usage.

In terms of day to day usage, it still holds up pretty well for general usage, but starts to lag with heavy tasks (say browsing 10-15 tabs in Chrome).

So after using the iPhone Xs Max for 6 years and 10 months (wonderful experience), I've finally ordered iPhone 17 yesterday. Hope to have an equally nice experience with the new phone.

Terrible choice. Throw away your money by all means.

I'm in the process of finding a new phone for the Mrs and the benchmarks are all the same, iPhone and even Samsung are not the best, they're not even close to being best value.

Right now Honor, Red and Xaomi's top end phones beat the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy comfortably when it comes to value.

I'm leaning towards the Xaomi and in the used market.

With the software they provide along with their bloatwares?

15t Pro is decent value if you catch a deal

I have owned an iPhone 11 since 2020, and I have been very happy with it.

I have a 12 since then, I use to be an Android bonehead but this was the best purchase decision I’ve ever made, no issues or overheating like the crappy products I used previously.

I’m using the 14T Pro and when comparing it to the 15T Pro it actually feels like a downgrade in terms of charging.

14T Pro offers 120W fast charging while the 15T Pro only supports 90W. Other features are almost the same so I believe 14T Pro provides better overall value compared to the 15T Pro.

Work gave me iPhone (something) got sick of it, nothing works, hated Safari browser so switched to OnePlus Nord N30 5G 128gb since 2022, no issues and bought it because it is dual SIM

I guess iPhone takes getting used to...

I have Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G... Working pretty well so far... 120W charging support is a life saver TBH...

I'm curious. Can you elaborate on what you mean by nothing works? examples of what doesn't work and how it is better in your device of choice?

I am too old to change man and I couldn't get Safari to work properly, copy/paste is different...

It is doing its job very well :)
That's one thing I admired about my iPhone Xs Max as well. I used it for 6 years and 10 months. It was doing it's job very well till it's last day. Super fast, buttery smooth, no lag, no hang. I changed it just because I got bored of it.

Ok, you need to criticise a product when it gets terrible & IOS 26.2 makes me want to put my phone in the bin. I have an iPhone 12 so not sure if it’s to do with an older model, but the general consensus with the experience is that it’s not great at all.

I am looking at what the best android products are out there currently & if there’s a way to seamlessly transfer cloud data to a google platform.
