Pakistan's next T20I assignment will be the series in Scotland, after the Tests vs Ireland and England. What would be your squad and your playing 11? Pretty good chance to try out some youngsters and rest some seniors. Below would be my squad; if they are bolded it means they weren't part of the squad against West Indies

Both are likely to play ODIs regularly for us some point in the future if not tests too.

We should beat Scotland comfortably regardless so I don't mind playing them. And I think it's better to play guys for the future who have potential in representing Pakistan for at least 2 formats, not just T20 specialist.

One thing no one has mentioned here is that how ICC rankings comes into effect specially when you are playing against a team so down in the ranking. loosing one game against Scotland could cost Pakistan immense points rather than winning 4-5 games against her. So my suggestion is whatever they do, they should also ensure that they win all of the games and do not take it so lightly.

Can be, but I think finding/developing player for 4-6 is more challenging these days. Game has gone to hit & miss slog feast type, therefore teams should look to have quality player at 4-6. Also, not sure if Bismillah can handle the task at 5; he can keep & slog from 3 for sure, which is basically T20's demand from top 3.

Not sure if Malik will stay in England though, 2 weeks is pretty long in this context. Most players aren't proactive like that. For example, when WI played in Pakistan, the players who played in PSL final still went back to WI and came back to Pakistan after a few days. Also, after the World T20 in India, many players still went back home and came back to India for the IPL. That being said, I don't expect Malik to be rested as he only plays ODI's and T20I's anyway, his Test days are over.

I wouldn't take Scotland so lightly.

They have been on top form and in home conditions they could be quite a handful. They are hurting after being screwed out of a World Cup place thanks to poor umpiring/bad weather and are out to prove a point. In the shorter format on the day Scotland will fancy are a formidable opponent.

The last two times Pakistan came to Scotland (2006 & 2013) we had very uncomfortable victories against the hosts, and that was in ODI's where we had time to recover after collapses. We don't have that luxury in T20s
