A bowler who can bowl around 135-140 along with variations and smart bowling or A bowler who bowls in 150s but without any line and length and bowls occasional yorkers?

The perfect examples are Hassan Ali and Wahab Riaz.

I know most would prefer Hassan Ali and rightly so.

The one with lower Average and higher Strike Rate

A Glenn McGrath anyday of the week. The perfect and the greatest fast bowler of my time.

Fast and furious like Malcolm Marshall. The great West Indian would be my opening bowler and go to man whenever I need a wicket.

Basically Amir or Rauf. I’d pick Amir

To be honest, with our recent performances in the 50 over format, I think I'd agree with you that Amir/Wahab are needed on the team.

The issue is that if Hasan had played without any gaps, he'd be the most seasoned bowler, but he has just started to get into his groove across all formats.

You need experience in ODI cricket.

However, T20s is a different story. I would select players based on form in T20Is, but Amir was in poor form in the PSL.

That can change if Pakistan don't do well against England. I think that Mohammad Amir will be watching very keenly, because if Haris Rauf cannot keep things tight, he will be there for a recall. For now, he is on the wings.

Depends on what format.

A bowler like Wasim Akram would be an ideal bowler for all formats in modern day cricket who can bowl with lot of variations according to situation.

For all formats I will pick Wasim and Steyn.
For Tests I will pick Mc Grath and Shaun Pollock.

Yup, we have too many inexperienced bowlers in our squad. Most teams will play 1 inexperienced bowler but we throw in 2-3 in an xi. Haris Rauf isn’t good enough for the longer formats, and I can’t remember the last time Hasnain got a game, he’s been in the squad since the last World Cup and he still doesn’t get picked in the xi.

Amir was poor in the PSL, but he can turn it around in the Hundred and the CPL. if he fails to do so, we’ll be stuck with Hasnain and Rauf.

Yes, Amir will need to shine in the Hundred and in CPL.

Against good batsmen, if he can prove his worth, I'd definitely consider him.

Wahab is unfortunate to miss out on The Hundred.

One who hits the deck and has a good bouncer, another one who can swing both ways and third just rely on line and length.
This will be my bowling attack.

Someone like Tim Southee, Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad.

The have worked very, very hard to learn from scratch, and became masters of swing bowling.

Wasim Akram would be my next choice. He hardly learned how to swing. It all came natural to him.

Easy. The one who bowls in the 135-140 range.

Line and length is the foremost important factor in getting wickets, and without that basic skill, no amount of pace is going to help you. Someone like Abbas at the worst might be impotent with the ball and unable to get wickets due to his low pace, but at least he might tie one end up. The spray gun who bowls at 150 will end up losing you matches. If the question is between Abbas or Shaun Tait, I would rather pick Abbas.

Depends, if the 150 kph bowler is someone like Tait then I"ll definitely go with the 135 kph trundler but if he's Akhtar then i"ll surely take him above the trundler.
