I resisted, and am tucking into tortilla wraps with a filling of refried mexican beans (?), sweet chilli sauce and salad - having some houmous and dipping sticks also.

No need for treadmill,

from 'tubby'...

Good man.....And there's no need for other people calling Oxy tubby.....We should all support him in his weight loss instead of calling him names......

Maybe calling him names will spur him on to lose that label that certain people may have given him. A sort of reverse psychology in operation there! :P

Well said . I couldnt see any other Mod taking that kind of personal abuse without 'abusising' their Mod privileges!

Naah - it long lost its 'shock' value

Trust me I can still make it shocking if I want to but in a positive way so you obtain positive results. Problem with that is that its not like as if you are not doing anything about your weight problems and just saying yeah I'll do it. You're quite committed, from what I hear and that is great.

The only way the shock tactic could work further would be that it could make you run a marathon a week or something. In reality that isn't needed at all and you are doing very well just as you are doing. So keep it up!! :14:

Had some Parrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrooooooowathhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhay (sorry got a bit carried away there) with Chooza and Milk - quality combination :19:

And he knocks back any negative comments made towards my epic weightloss quest!

Seems as if Oxy starves himself on inedibles for a while and then 'pigs-out'. That the difficult and not very successful way of losing weight.

So he should!!! Positive thoughts lead to positive actions! Some people I think need reminding of that :P

Oxy does not pig out at all!! And he cuts down on the calories, always important when losing weight. :P

Aprt from an attack of the 'double choc muffins' 2 weeks back - I have religiously stuck to my routine

For me to go to a friends wedding and not eat - that would be scandoulous!

Well you can eat, but choose what to eat at wedding, and moderation and resistance would be good.....ie half a gulab jamun, maybe salad, or vege dishes.....

I dont eat any Asian mithai/deserts except for wife-made kheer; if you think Iam going to a wedding to eat lettuce, you must be mad!

It's hard oxy, but your family will thank you for it, can add more years to your life, loosing the extra weight, and you will have lots more energy to live life to the fullest......

Just make sure you drink plenty of water instead of a soft drink.

After 2 weeks - my breathing felt batter.

After 4 weeks, I look different - so its a patient game.

Eat but keep it in check even at the wedding. May be eat a bit og something healthy before you go, that way you can stop short of pigging out.

Other than that make sure you keep eating what you enjoy on regular days (just things that are relatively healthy). That way the diet can be sustained over longer periods and chances of giving up decrease.

A heavy-ish breakfast is recommended, that way you don't pig out at lunch. Perhaps an egg with toast and cereal on the side. It helps the metabolism as well.

Regular exercise of course is a must.

Because water is heavy (i.e 1 litre = 1kg), I dont drink enough - even though its ZERO calories. Its something I have to resolve.

Yeah and you will thank yourself for making these little sacrifices, for going through a little bit of pain for a HUGE gains, not just physically feeling better but also admiration and praise from others, especially your children and your wife.

The only thing I ask of you, is continuing the way you are doing and keeping your goal in focus. Just stay positive!!

|Cut off the one off stuff, dont think like...oh ill just have this, what harm can it do? but believe it or not, it can.

Also like u mentioned before i think, just think about ur kids, this could motivate u a lot, healthy life, u wanna see ur kids grow up for a long long time...i dont think theres anything more motivating;)

I promised my son that I would be skinny in Summer. That was a few months ago.

Also by making a big deal about it in my signature, basically I will be an embarrasment and disgrace if I slack - so the update is a 'name and shame' tactic.

Should have done it 3 years ago....

I wouldn't worry about that, we all say things like that, have regrets about not doing things when we should have. But those regrets quickly can disappear when we actually start doing something and stick to the task like you are doing.

It's never too late to change yourself for the better......

One way is to drink a few glasses when you wake up. That way it can be routine. Then perhaps after a nap if you take one and before sleeping.

Or say when you are working or doing something have a 500ml bottle of water with you and drink about 4-5 of those during the day.

couple of slices of toast, with Strawberry Jam on (forgot how good jam on toast was)

Just cooked breakfast for the family.

Fried egg and toast for daughter; boiled eggs and toast for son/wife - and tea for all.

I on the other hand had 2 biscuits (low fat btw) - and am off to have a delightful meal at a walimah.

Ok - just back from the wedding, and I must say the food was of outstanding quality.

I had:-

Salad / Yogurt

Tandoori chicken (1 piece, not my usual tray full)

Rice with chicken (I didnt have any curry sauce-I drained as much as I could)

half a nan

4 glasses of water - avoided the Coke.

NO zarda or kheer - I avoided it.

Sure I had a good meal, but didnt overdo it.

I would say that is nothing over the top Oxy. Nothing unhealthy. Zushy will be very proud of you sir :)
