What's new

What was the last thing you ate?

boneless chicken in gravy with oven made tandori rotis in desi ghee & onion rings on side . Had 2 tins of gulab jamuns at home which a family friend had gifted - they were a bit too sweet so i squeezed off a bit of the sugary syrup & had 2 . We had sprinkled crushed pista on it so it was okay :)

Roti with Saag, Dahi, Awla (Amla) pickle.

Tera , what is awla pickle like ? can you share the recipe? We get lot of aawla's at home but i do not like them in sugar syrup,so i eat them raw with salt. it is supposed to be very healthy .

cheese-green apple canapes with fresh cherry in evening & then 2 paneer paratha with lemon pickle . dessert was strawberry cheesecake from kwality walls .

bro,i just had chicken curry with rotis . the gulab jamun cans were a gift & we are supposed to eat & share food, not waste it :)

You should have donated some to me; I surely wouldn't have let them go to waste. :)

Honestly though, your food does sound very exotic though this may simply be because it is Indian cuisine.

On Friday went out for dinner at a thai cuisine ( i think it was Thai, but definitely oriental Asiain) there was spring rolls, calimari and other things for starters, main course was sea bass, a selection of curries, noodles, rice and some other things I can't remember. Then had crunchie oreo. Went to wedding yesterday, starter was shami kebabs, aloo papri chaat, fried fish, malai chicken and I think something else too. Main course consisted of lamb biryani, curries, roast lamb and potatoes and probably more tooo and there was a dessert buffet with millions of cakes, halva, kulfi, meethai and more:D just had strawberry granola for bfast

haha.it is hardly exotic .
On Sundays we usually have brunch today was buttered paav [ it is a soft small bun ] with bhaji[ mixed vegetable subzi] & masala egg bhurji ,aluu tikkis & fruit chaat which also had boiled potatoes . A huge glass of chilled lassi to wash it down . This we had at 11.30 am .

At 3 pm , i had some pista , salted roasted cashews & a coke .
I am going out for dinner tonight & the joint we are going to does fabulous tandoori chicken & mutton seekh kebabs so i just had a cup of coffee with 1 buttered rusk at 5.30pm . Saving my appetite for dinner :)

egg sandwich

Absolutely love egg sandwiches (especially when the boiled eggs are sliced and subsequently placed between buttered toasts, although egg mayonnaise doesn't fall too far behind) but I seldom eat them and it is rare that they are present in the packed lunches I sometimes take to school because of the notorious side-effect of consuming them (the stinking flatulence they create).

Looks like you are the only healthy eater around here

Is that even possible - someone calling me, of all people, a healthy eater? :))

Ask the other posters in this diet, my diet isn't very healthy at all - although I love consuming tuna and sweetcorn sandwiches (they are my utmost favourite).

Time to down some pizza and fries.

I've not eaten a pizza for months now and I'm likely to do so soon (although I'd love to consume one) because my parents state they can't afford to buy fast food (the reason being we have recently purchased a new house and are currently a little skint, with little disposable income to spare).

The wait will make it that much more delicious. Hang in there. :P

Thanks for the support bro, this is a torturous time I'm currently experiencing. :)

Surely you can't be telling me that the above is 'hardly exotic', especially when compared with the fact that for supper yesterday I ate a very large bowl of tuna and sweetcorn pasta bake (mind you, it was delicious)?

Had chaat after days.
