What would be a good (and realistic) first innings score for Pakistan against NZ in the 1st Test?

Still should keep on scoring. 154 isn't a big total at any equation - PAK can only make it one by scoring at 1.7 rate. A bit of positive intent, I am sure Kiwis will go to defensive.

Due to work, I was not able to see much. I saw only a few overs and the ball was seaming. I have no idea how this wicket is gonna behave. We don't wanna go in chasing anything over 200 in the last inning. I think Pak will need it's lower order to score a bulk of runs to get any significant lead. I would LOVE to see us scoring 250/5. Let see. Morning session can not have more than a couple of wicket loss to attain a significant lead.

I personally think that Pakistan should look to bat once in this test match which would enable them to score a strong total. 400 would be a great total with a solid lead. If Pakistan take there time and bat with intent then Pakistan can get a solid total up.

I would take a lead of 100 from this position. Don’t know people were underestimating NZ bowlers. Always knew they will be more than a handful than the Aussie bowlers.

Such a pathetic display of batting from Asad, Sarfraz, and Bilal. Super lazy stuff and brain-fade. Why one would ever attempt to play sweep when there is an obvious set up just for that purpose. Sarfraz is way better than this. Asad was thinking he was playing on a Perth pitch - that defense was very untidy. This is how you defend on a cement and even on that, one has to be more compact. There is no demon in the wicket I saw in a post lunch session - just a pathetic approach and Pak hopefully will not regret for scoring anything less than 350.
