If you cannot win with 350, it means ether you suck or that you should have score more.. so which one is it? The ease with which England is chasing our 350 plus total, can you expect this to be the norm? Should we really have scored more? What is par score now? 400?

Pakistani bowling is horrendous, other teams would have made England sweat

This. Can't really tell until we see a competent team defend this sort of score. Even bowling crap if Pakistan had took the catches it might have made a difference.

I think most teams will look to chase...
If there is anything at all in the wicket it will be first up and teams will feel they can chase down most scores... that’s of course if the wickets continue to play like this. If they slow up a little then it’s a different ball game altogether.

We were happy scoring 360 because we thought we have won the match.

Its a defendable total, but not when you drop dollies and have no world class bowler (no Amir wouldnt have done anything either).

Other teams would have tested England.

This game was over when Englans smashed 159 runs in 17 overs.

340-350 should be a winning total against most teams.

Against teams like Aus, England and WI on a great day, 350 will be bulldozed.

England are playing at a different level to most other teams. They are a run and gun team. They do not care much about their bowling. They know they have the batsmen to chase down any total.
Archer has provided some spark to England bowling.

300 is the new 200 and 400 is the new 300 in England for sure the top order needs firepower nowadays more than ever.

If Pakistan can come close to chasing down 370+ with a pathetic late order, I assure you, no bowling line up would have been able to defend 358 on a track like today and short boundaries. This isn't to say that Pakistan's bowling wasn't absolute trash, but I don't see any other team containing on these wickets and you can forget about bowling the opposition out. Flat tracks are killing this game.

Our bowling was hopeless but tbf england wouldve done this to most teams They are ruthless on flat wickets

India ,Australia,South Africa, and New Zealand would have tested England more than we did today.

Everyone talking about the pitch being flat , apparently this is 1 of the highest scores chased ever. So teams have defended totals on flat pitches. Why don't we talk about our bowling attack being overrated more instead of worrying about pitches ?

You don't drop catches like that.

Also these days you need to have minimum 4 proper bowlers, if not 5 out and out. IMO Pakistan was down to 3 proper bowlers in Shaheen, Junaid & Hassan. Imad as a spinner doesnt scare and what Faheem is doing in the XI is beyond my understanding. Faheem opened the bowling in 2nd ODI, my goodness !

Where is the strike bowler of Pakistan who can take wickets on demand ? Who is Pakistan's Starc/Rabada/Archer/Bumrah ?

People are overreacting. 350 is still match-winning, but our bowling and fielding was dreadful.

It was the combination of a flat wicket quick outfield and a small ground which made the total below par.
I have no doubt if Afridi was playing and was on a going day the fastest 50 and hundred records would've been in danger.

Pakistan’s bowling attack is exceptionally poor. England’s batting is immense but surely better attacks would have made life more difficult for them.

This was the second easiest 350+ chase in history and surely we need to focus on how poor our bowling was instead of lamenting over the flatness of the pitch.

England bowling attack is not that bad .They know How to bowl in their homegrounds. And people underestimate them .Same thing happen with India Iast year.
Today . Bowling was For the most part fine But Fielding wasn't Good enough and that made the difference.
Still we r literally playing against the Best And explosive batting lineup in The world .So Don't sweat over it

There are more problems than normal at the moment no spinner other than Shadab who isn't great and not played much recently.
The fast bowlers are inexperienced (Shaheen Faheem) and losing form confidence quickly the pitches are definitely not helping they will have to adapt quickly or it will be a long few months ahead.

350 was very defendable but when you bowl pies to release any pressure built up on batsman and drop dollies it's even hard to defend 400+

280 is winning score if boundaries are least 75+ meters long..

The boundary size has become irrelevant. Most of the hits are over 80 meters huge now.

I think in his world cup, unless there is a cloud cover and moisture, bowlers won’t get any help. The pitches will be docile and 320-330 will be par score.. which is really bad news for Pakistan because we do better when the games are low scoring..

it's relevant.. Stokes struggles to hit sixes in IPL but his checked drive easily clear boundary yesterday.. if the boundary is small batsman back themselves to clear the boundary but if it's bigger it'll create confuse in his mind and it'll turn to wrong shot selection.. There's a big difference in hitting 80 meter six in 70 meter boundary and 60 meter boundary..

When and how often have England been made to sweat, particularly at home?

It just doesn't happen. Get over it.
