The 2011 combo was awesome. But we wasted it by having shafiq and Younis at 3 and 4

Akmal
Hafeez
Asad
Yk
Misbah
Umar
Abdur Razzaq
Afridi

If we could have had Babar and fakhar in those days it would read like,

Fakhar
Kamran
Babar
Hafeez
Misbah
Akmal
Abdur Razzaq
Afridi

That would be awesome. 6 proper bowler options
Our 2003 line up was good but this had more depth.now we have only faheem who we need to find out about as hitting option in lower order.

Fakhar
Imran Nazir
Babar
Hafeez
Umar Akmal
Afridi
Razzaq

Daaam that’s a solid top 7 with Wahab Amir Umar Gil and Ajmal as the specialist bowlers and Hafeez and Razzaq as all rounders. Holy moly that would of been a side and a half in asian conditions.

Edit: Afridi also bowls I forgot

Anwar
Sohail
Ijaz
Inzamam
Malik
Moin Khan (WK)
Wasim Akram

Yes they could also collapse horribly on a bad day, but on paper and individually for ODI that was a pretty decent batting line up.

1993-1999 has to be our strongest batting line-up ever. I remember during that time we hardly lost anything after batting first. It was a dream team.

Weak top order
Only Yousuf would make it to all time Pak Odi XI from this side(maybe Afridi too as an allrounder)
Younis & Misbah were very slow,Afridi & Kamran average in 20s,Umar faded away after decent start

Strongest batting line up Pakistan ever had in Odis was in the 1996 World Cup

Saeed Anwar
Aamer Sohail
Ijaz Ahmed
Inzamam Ul Haq
Saleem Malik
Javed Miandad

Anwar,Inzamam,Miandad would make it to all time Pak Odi XI
Aamer Sohail may also be a contender
Ijaz & Malik were considered amongst the most aggressive odi batsmen in those days
That batting line up was world class

Our team for the 1996 WC:

Saeed Anwar
Amir Sohail
Ijaz Ahmed
Inzamam-ul-Haq
Javed Miandad
Saleem Malik
Rashid Latif
Wasim Akram
Waqar Younis
Mushtaq Ahmed
Aqib Javed

Note, no pseudo all-rounders in that team. Wasim Akram could actually bat unlike fraud Faheem Ashraf. In addition we had three proper specialist bowlers with both Malik and Sohail being handy part-timers.
