Where are our past legends?

Having being there at the ground to witness the carnage first hand...I was in envy of Indian fans who got the opportunity to meet their idols- Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag & Sourav Ganguly were there greeting their fans and cheering for the men in blue. Who did Pak fans get to greet? Ramiz Raja!

Where are Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Inzamam Ul Haq, Mohammaf Yousuf..etc etc? Busy on TV stations I guess?

I feel pity for current Pak team as they don't get the service of legends. So many legends but none to rectify Pak cricket. Shame. Alas we don't have any. But if legends are like selfish pak's then it's better to have none.

Forget the legends, as they don't understand a thing, most probably, about modern cricket. Guys from cricket forums must be recruited instead, but I don't expect this from PCB.

There are guys from this very cricket forum who are still supporting the inclusion of Wahab Riaz and calling from the come back of the likes of Salman Butt.

I personally have known them quite well from [MENTION=9]Saj[/MENTION] thread where seniors posters mentioned there experiences.


Majority of them (Legends) seemed khaasay Budtehzeeb, budmizaaj, arrogant, mean, budlehaaz sitaaray who hurt their fans at most times batting 2-3 humble taneezdaar legends.

On Topic: bro there are multitudes of better posters and more knowledgeable people than me in Pakistan and on Pakpassion alone. I won't even break into the top 150 let alone the top 10 but clearly we need competent people at the helm of PCB that actually know professionalism, have worked in challenging multinational corporations and actually know what they are doing with Finances / Player Pathways / Sponsorship Deals and the general revenue for the Pakistan Cricket Board.

If PCB were smart they'd probably make PP the hub of recruitment center for people that represent the Pakistani section of posters. These are the type of innovations that change an organization from being a run of the mill institution to a profitable business that caters to merit and modern practices. Alas I guess this type of thought provoking ideas are just too much to ask from the current administration.

I fully agree with you that PCB is a reflection of the Aam Idaray in Pakistan at the moment. There are numerous examples like this PIA, WAPDA etc etc....

Maybe Pakistan legends are busy in their own professional commitments as well? Why should they leave that and be at the ground to greet and meet Pak fans? Inzi is your coach and is involved more closely with cricket development than any of our legends.

That's what we like to think. The fact that we can never come to a consensus about the Pakistan playing XI tells you that no matter who is playing, someone out of a population of 180 million will have a problem with it.

Let's stop trying to pretend that a bunch of teenagers and 20-year olds can manage an organization as big as the PCB. It's not as simple as swapping a few players here and there.
