Is he talking about cricket or politics?

Afridi shouldnt involve himself in politics. This is the guy who thought hitting a six on the first ball was a great plan.

He talks about moral standards but doesnt mention crooks taking charge lol.

Please someone start a T5 league or we will have to endour more of this.

Imran Khan must be plunging the depths if he is getting life/career advice from Shahid Afridi.

He's not. You dont know Afridi, he just likes to keep in the spotlight and is just being diplomatic.

He may hit India for 100 in 40 odd balls but doesnt have the same issue with Imran. In fact he's supportive.

Coming from the guy who kept playing till he was well in 40s and hardly contributing announced Many retirements yet took them back and played again. Munafiq if there ever was one.
 
His own exit from cricket was not very dignified.

Now he is getting ready for politics, if he joins Patwar's he will have no chance in KPK, may be from Karachi with MQM support.

He is running some ads on TV , praising himself, must be joining politics, why not.

He is not educated and not very brainy, PML will suite him better.

Not at all, PTI supporters aren't blind like the rest who love supporting corrupt leeches family based politicians. Afridi has said many dumb things in the past and majority of his tulla cricket career was only played based on his knocks from his early age. He was a disgrace in cricket for majority of his later career and he will be a perfect candidate to represent Noon or PPP as its the usual less brainy, no action and more bakwas type politiancs who are in those parties so he ll be suited there and their less brainy corruption supportive fans ll love him
 
Afridi is lucky he was good at cricket, because otherwise he is not qualified to even be a Chaprasi.

Why should this be compulsory that to support someone he needs to have same political view as you?
You cant hate someone based on their political leanings

Because they have a cult follower mentality and cannot think rationally on the point that is actually made by the person in front of them. Just like they cannot accept that their leader is now not the PM and also the first in history of Pakistan to lose people's confidence.

Afridi has not said anything wrong whether he supports PTI or not. He is entitled to his opinion. And he's a bigger patriot and asset for Pakistan than all the keyboard merchants put together.

He’s entitled to his opinion but every time I think of him I think of him biting the ball and then later saying he tried to smell it.
 
Afridi is entitled to his opinion and I will give him some leeway as he has actually done some good work in rural areas through his foundation.....unlike the corrupt crooks of PDM
 
Afridi is the perfect politician. He makes sure he is in the good books of everyone. IK knew the consequences of handing over the reigns of the country to PPP and PML N which is why he did whatever was possible to not hand over power to these two parties till the very end.
 
These political skills tell you how Afridi survived in the team without contributing much.
 
A guy that took back his retirement a few times is preaching to exit with dignity. The irony

Every time a new govt comes they appoint a new PCB chairman. So Ramiz Raja will resign, and most likely Najam Sethi will get the job. However Afridi might want it as well so he is brown nosing.

PTI supportors are just as blind and the rest. They can't stomach any criticism of their supreme leader. Case in point, attacking Afridi rather than debating the argument he has made.

And PTI is not more brainy than noon or PPP. They are at best just as incompetent as other. After all, how many people have PTI gotten on board from the said parties. Many good people who were at start with them deserted them and for good reason. PTI is a shell of what they used to be and what they stood for. The laws they have passed, starting with but not limited to the PECA ordinance (which thankfully the IHC struck down), their extreme right wing alignment (which has been the most disappointing to me personally) and more.

They cry like anyone else, when things don't go their way and when they do, attack the others for crying. Even yesterday the decision to resign just because match matching didn't turn out to be in their favor. They have become what they hated in the first place i.e to quote you "less brainy, no action and more bakwaas type of politician".

For once, completely agree with Afridi - IK could have chosen to go with dignity even if he was right but now he has been thrown out after holding up the constitution at gun point & spoiling international relationship - all for nothing! And his supporters might think that he was looking strong, but to the rest he just looked immaturish & power greedy - a la Trump.

There is no bigger joke than these parties being run by the same Khandaan for decades and every Tom, Dick and Harry of the same khandaan taking turns to have a go at the prrmier seat. Tell this to any sensible foreign person and he will laugh it off that how pathetic it could be in this day and age that too where it is supposed to be democracy. My coworkers did the same and couldn't believe ppl could be this foolish in Pakistan, but gladly these biryani ke plate pe supporters are sharply declining and nation is behind Imran Khan.

Funny enough these corrupt leeches run away at any moment of trouble to foreign lands and their ghulam inflicted fickle supporters get back to the airport welcoming them by rolling red carpet when mafia makes it way back 🤣 lol seriously what drama and jahalat. Mafia days are numbered gladly.

Nope. "less brainy, no action and more bakwaas type of politician" perfectly suits parties which are run by the same khandaan for decades and their supporters ghulam inflicted mindsets who support such joke of a dynasty system in a democracy who steal nation's funds all their lives.

As for Afridi, it is a joke because the guy himself has taken countless retirements and then came back so talking about dignity doesn't suit him well when he himself made retirement a joke. I have always regarded him as quite an average cricketer for most part and he did have many idotic moments on the pitch be it chewing the ball like an apple on national TV, rolling on the pitch with boots, and majority of his career throwing away his wicket when team really needed him to stay etc. He can sure say what he likes, but more suitable when you have set similar examples, also IK has been very humble even after all this choor dakeet drama and is all strong to fight for his nation and people. This nation isn't going to back down this time by the corrupt leech mafia and IK has every right to stand for the nation. Afridi hasn't understood that so he's better off sticking to congratulating the corrupt Sharif like he has done so in his other tweet, that is totally fine, but being over smart and saying things which he has barely stood by is quite immaturish.

I don't know when this breakup happened. If I remember right, IK always supported Afridi's inclusion. especially when he could influence it, with Wasim Akram as captain.
 
Shahid Afridi, Sheikh Fawad among 10 face police case over housing project fraud

Police in Islamabad filed a case against 10 persons, including former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi, in the fraud case of a housing project.

The case was registered under Section 420 at Rawat Police Station on the complaint of the victim identified as Abid bin Abdul Qudoos.

Property consultant Sheikh Fawad Bashir, Shehzad Kayani, Umar Bashir, Farooq Bashir, Kashif, Usman, Nasira Bashir, Iftikhar Ilyas, Hafeezur Rehman, and Malik Sohail Ahmed were also named along with former star cricketer.

The complainant told cops that Sheikh Fawad and his partners did the advertisement featuring Shahid Afridi and lured him to invest in the housing project named AAA Business Centre.

The victim said he was influenced by the advertisement featuring Afridi and booked two shops in AAA Business Centre. He mentioned paying Rs55 lac for shop number 17 and Rs40lac for another shop.

Later, it turns out that suspects deceived hundreds of people, depriving them of their hard earned money. Abid also found that the stamp papers given to him were issued with back dates, while the rent agreement was also on a past-dated stamp paper.

He further mentioned that some agreements were signed by Sheikh Fawad, but the signature was actually made by someone else. He accused suspects of allocating the same shop to multiple customers.
