In this list I am trying to rank in order of merit pairs of left-handers who when rolled into one would constitute the perfect batsmen.I am not considering statistics but blending of different qualities like technical skill,elegance or artistry,power,ability to improvise strokes ,t0 bat for your life etc.Thus mainly blending technical skill with attacking agression and creativity.The batsmen in the selected pairs would have contrasting outstanding qualities

2.Alan Border-Brian Lara

4.Gary Sobers-David Gower

The sublime elegance and artistry of Gower with the great power and technical skill of Sobers.

Blending of the supreme talent of Pollock with the perfect technique of Kalicharan.
